Carlin was right about the Earth but wrong about plastic, not because it is hurting Earth but, because it's coming back to us in microplastics through our food and embedding itself in our tissues. We've never had lower testosterone levels and, it just so happens that microplastics trapped in our testes illict reactions that produce oestrogen. It's not the _ONLY_ factor but, it _IS_ a factor and without that hormone men are less driven and less attractive to women and women'd rather perish alone with cats instead of "settle" so, it's contributing to demographic decline and that's not good for _ANYONE!_

If George Carlin was alive today and said these things, the global elites would order that he be “cancelled.” 😵 At first, his comedy gigs would disappear. Then media hit pieces would be published. scientifically speaking, this guy is 100% accurate... for example when trees first evolved on the planet, they were just like plastic, totally unbiodegradable. but life evolved eventually to degrade them. BTW, coal is the outcome of this period called the Carboniferous.

George it the nail on the head… Although, if he were still with us, his routine would undoubtedly include plastic straws, cow farts and gas powered lawnmowers. In my day the panic was the pending ice age, gas shortage and water shortage. The commercial had a small boys asking, “Will there be gas for me when I grow up?” and another commercial said, “Save water… shower with a friend! 😂😂

The irony is that now we're seeing how permanent of an impact we're leaving. George didn't know about DuPont and PFAS. Permanent man-made chemicals that will never break down in nature and cause mutations in anything that eats it (and if you eat it it'll never leave your body til something eats you).

When he talks about the arrogance of humans, he's also talking about our inability to accept our inevitable extinction along with all other endangered species. The earth will endure; human civilization is just another ultimately doomed historical cul de sac. We're not as important as we think we are, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't care about each other as long as we're here.
