At the racing limit which is where racing games were always intented to be played, Asseto Corsa is better. That said how people have modded AC to be more like Beam makes it more interesting to me.

You can edit your cars paint work too, use the siders so the clear coat is a little bit more reflective makes the cars look a lot better.

The most extreme Fortnite update is with BeamNG and the mission is called the one piece is real

Regarding updates/fixes, AC was regularly updated during its early access and post release phase. On the other hand, while BeamNG is updated regularly, there isn't any finish line in sight and considering that devs mention this is BeamNG v1 and in how unfinished/unpolished state it is in many ways despite its age, I worry that they ever finish anything in the game before moving on to next project. Changing things on the fly - while it is true that you can adjust more things in BeamNG on the fly, the menu performance and navigation isn't good, so in the end, you could spend as much time tweaking things as in AC before getting desired result. I would say that both games are janky in many aspects due to their indie roots and age of initial release, but I wouldn't consider one significantly better than the other in general. AC has advantage in singular focus (no offroad, no open world), so it is better at what it does (asphalt circuit racing) than BeamNG.

Assetto corsa... Jesus. When I usually open a game, I imagine goold old live for speed - open it, click a few buttons to setup wheel, drive and forget about settings ever again. That's a sign of a well made game. Now I bought that trash corsa for 2 euros and I can't believe how utterly poorly it is made. UI is made by children: settings are all over the place, starting race opens up whole new instance of a the game and all of my settings just disappeared twice already because of unknown reason. It took simply opening settings and closing it and the game doesn't recognize wheel anymore and cars don't have steering wheel anymore, seems like whole game is glitched. I spend more time trying to solve bugs and settings than playing the actual game... Beamng wasn't impressive either since the first car I tried didn't stall no matter what even though I heard it's supposed to be the most realistic simulator on market. But I am thinking about getting it again and sacrificing some time to run though each setting, maybe it will change my mind?

how the fuck do people think aseta corsa is a good driving sim? its a good racing sim, but far from the best, it pales in comparison to iracing and other top of line racing games
