A friend sent this song to me when I had so many don'ts about myself after losing my fiance Danny. He said listen to the lyrics. I did and yes I cried, but I also felt a sense of my old confidence and that YES I can go on feeling!

Sometimes it's not a man who u dated sometimes it's a parent who took ur innocence and u had to learn that there aren't anything special she will go thru life wondering if there is something wrong with her she will close herself off and vow to never care about herself or a man bc of the fear to be hurt again. A parent who hurt her over and over again til her heart is solid and she don't allow anyone in a girl who fears the world everyday and fights her mind everyday.

Omg in tears. My daughter had a serious stroke last year, she suffered some brain damage & is still disabled, not yet able to use her left arm and has to use a stick to walk slowly, & a w/chair. She is still mine but different & this song sums it all up 😥

When a song hits so hard all you can do is breath as the tears roll down your face and drop off like rain dripping from you as you stand in the rain wet and just can’t walk through a door inside to be dry. My 8 year old sister almost committed suicide and when the song talks about being imperfect and learning to toughen up it while being baked in a beautiful pie it reminds me of all of the talks we have and how she has to act happy to hide everything she is going through because of bullying.
