Some people believe that no matter what they do, including the Jews, that God will bless them. They can sin and commit all sorts of abominations. I do not for a moment believe that the Waldenses picked and chose what they wanted to believe from the Bible. Nor do l believe that John the Apostle believed in the Eucharist. There's not even a hint in his writings that he believed in that nonsense. Do you actually believe that that piece of bread is the actual flesh of Jesus?

The quote you placed in the comments section implies that the Eucharist and transubstantiation were teachings that were accepted in the Christian church all along and that even the Apostle John believed in it. Nothing could be further from the truth. There is absolutely nothing in the Bible that supports that claim. Not even a hint. You say you have been lied to. It appears that you have accepted the lie of transubstantiation and the Eucharist. And the Eucharist teaches that the Catholic priest can actually create his Creator. This is not about what I believe; it is about what the early Christians were taught to believe. Ignacius was taught to believe in a certain way by the Apostle John. In terms of the Eucharist, the Bible teaches, "And he took bread and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me" (Luk 22:19 KJV). Notice Jesus did not say this is metaphorically my body, or a symbol of my body, but that it is His body. I suppose we can argue that the Apostle John didn't understand and then incorrectly explained it to his disciples, but I don't believe that is true. My choice as a Protestant is to believe those who came long after the early Christians and to trust "scholarly consensus" or to walk in faith and believe what the early Church fathers taught. I think in the reformation of the Church (we were right to fight against the Papacy), we threw out the baby with the bath water and, in a knee-jerk reaction, cast away proper understanding for an understanding that we agree with, not one that is true. I say this with love and respect, nor am I trying to be argumentative, but if I can't trust Ignacius, a man martyred for his faith, then who can I trust.

So, using your logic, when Jesus said in John 6:53, "Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, ye have no life in you," He was not speaking metaphorically. He meant exactly that. Eat His body and drink His blood. And how did the Jews take His words? They took them literally. Let this be a lesson for those who believe that that bread in the communion service is literally the body of Christ. God expects us to use our brains. God expects us to be mature adult Christians.

No, the work of Erasmus does not predate Constantine. Constantine was emperor of Rome in 300s. Erasmus lived in the 1500s. The Hexapla Bible is of the Eusebio-Origen type--corrupted. Origen was a pagan who claimed to accept Christianity, but then mixed his paganistic ideas with the true Bible. The Hexapla Bible comes from Origen. The Textus Receptus is a Latin name for the Received Text, which is the ancestor of the King James Bible. That stream of Bibles is pure--unccorrupted.

There is plenty of evidence that the Catholic church corrupted the Bible. But one of the points l am making is the fact that there are two streams of Bibles---a pure line and a corrupt line. The Catholic church has burried that history--that fact. This is one of reasons why people, such as the Waldenses, were persecuted by the Papacy, because they had a pure Bible handed down to them from the Apostles. Just stay tuned. Sure people have favorite versions, KJV is popular but the New Revised Standard Version is considered the gold standard of English Bible translations for Bible scholars. It doesn't really matter. Let alone all the editing and massaging of the text driven by theological concerns. Because there is a corrupted line and an uncorrupted line. God’s word has indeed been preserved and corrupted. Both are possible.

Please do not misunderstand what l am saying. Just because there were some who tried to palm off counterfeit Bibles does not mean that God didn't preserve His word. He did indeed preserve His word and the Holy Spirit was actively at work to do that very thing through men of God, like John the Apostle.

There were several different groups of people down through the centuries that had the pure Scriptures. I will address that subject in later videos. But for now l will say that one of the main groups were the Waldesian Christians. The Waldenses were among the first of the peoples of Europe to obtain a translation of the Holy Scriptures. Hundreds of years before the Reformation they possessed the Bible in manuscript in their native tongue. They had the truth unadulterated, and this rendered them the special objects of hatred and persecution by the Church of Rome.

But the Catholic Church put together the Canon of the Bible, so how does that work? We wouldn't have the books of the Bible put together in todays format without the Church putting it together.

The Bible has been translated into many different languages.

I know very little about them. My understanding of this issue is very simple. If there is a God who created everything, then He has given us His infallible word, no matter how much men may throw doubt on it. The Devil is in the business of causing people to disbelieve God's word. And that is the core reason why the world is in such a mess.

Actually, the biggest trick the devil played was to have people think Yahweh and Jesus are two entities, father and son, when they both are the same being! Deuteronomy 32:8 should rendered that the nations where divided according to the sons of God, not of Israel. The dead sea scrolls - which are the oldest translation we have - has it rendered according to the sons of God; There where many sons. They where the divine counsel, psalm 82, where it says „ye are gods but ya shall die like mete mortals“ or something like that. Anyhow, trinitarians and unitarians alike believe that Yahweh is the father. Take Isaiah 43:11 „I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior.“ Now trinitarians assume that when God talks in the plural, like let us make man in our image, this is the plural (or more accurately triune) God talking to themselves, and they see this as evidence that there is a trinity. But my point being is that Yahweh is the name of that God/deity. And he is a son of God most high; Again deuteronomy 32:8 says „when the most high divided the nations“ and yahwehs portion was israel. Bow if yahweh was the most high, and lets say he had 70 sons and than went and took a portion for himself, that would render one of the sons of Gods without a nation. So yahweh himself is Jesus. The father however is neither Jesus nor Yahweh, as Yahweh is the son of the most high. But maybe I am wrong. Maybe Yahweh was lying when he said that aside from him (where does Jesus sit?) there is no saviour. Yahweh is not talking in the plural here. You know, he is the snake on the pole, that is who Jesus is. A trickster. And he is pulling a balem on the world. Meaning he makes all the other nations worshipping him. Just saying.

There is nothing here to pray about. I have read about these things that you are talking about. I do not believe in trashing all that our founding fathers did and stood far. These men were good men---especially George Washington. I do not believe, from the evidence l have read, that George Washington was a Mason in the truest sense. If this were true then please explain why ALL Bible believing people receive their rule of faith, the Bible, from her, the Bride of Christ… History shows us that Jesus didn't leave us a bible, - the apostles didn't tell us which books belong in the bible, - the church fathers never agreed on the 27 books of the NT through the 4th century, - not only did they not agree but their individual lists of would-be NT canons were GROWING during this time, growing in numbers of hundreds of “inspired” NT writings. Therefore, if it wasn't the Catholic/Orthodox church that compiled the 27 books of the NT in the 5th century with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and preserved it by laboriously hand copying them over and over throughout the centuries before the invention of the printing press, the “rule of faith” for many, please tell us who did? And if this church no longer exists today, what good is the text which came forth from her if she couldn't sustain herself?
