I love this new subie.I do like your channel.xx🐝🐝
Just found your channel. Love your quilts. You get so much done. 🧵🪡🧵🎃. Dona in Oregon USA
Had to google figgy pudding sound yummy lol how beautiful. I am such a beginner long time wanting to quilt but seems EPP got me going and has introduced me to the UK crafts. Really enjoying this hand stitch vs the machine. ❤ love all your quilts and sandwiching and what is it binding well just scared of it but EPP takes so long I got time. ❤
Hi nice to find you, wow love that sun room. You called it a conservatory that’s cool I am in Florida we have sun rooms. Sending Love ❤
I have arthritis in just my right hand, the thumb....!! and I cant do any hand needle work at all anymore and sometimes use my thumb the wrong way and the pain can be excruciating. I take an aspirin daily which helps alot as I have arthritis in my hip joints also. I didnt start quilting until I retired about ten years ago, and I studied videos and books and blogs by Lori Holt, a famous fabric and quilt designer here in the US. I learned from her that your backing fabric is just as important to complete the quilt as the fabrics in the top piece. Also the binding fabric is important and is like the frame like a picture frame around the the quilt. I usually do only one quilt at a time and do not start another until each one done. I may find a pattern I like and find the fabric, but I dont start it until current one done.
@@janusaflorida7909 The joys of getting older! I’m a magpie with both quilting and knitting, I see all the shiny things and to start them although I’m better than I used to be. I’ve known about Lori Holt for a long time but have never made any of her patterns but I fell in love with “Home Town”. I’ve managed to get the fabric and the templates (it isn’t as easy as it was getting hold of some American stuff) and am planning to do a block a month starting in January, mind you I will be machine appliqué, not needle turning!
@@ailsau8995 LH method appl. uses interfacing. No needle turn. Everything is machine sewn. You can hand sew applique pieces if you want though. She has YT channel and it will probably have an example. Her fabric is very high quality.
@@ailsau8995 People in US that live in northern colder climates are recommended to buy a plant grow light to have on indoors and it really helps with depression that these people get along with Vit. D deficient problems.
You are so very talented. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing these quilts. ❤
Thank you so much!
Wow what a wonderful collection. Thank you for sharing them with us. The Christmas fabric collection is called Fruitcake.
Thanks for the info!
Loved your quilts. All beautifully done!
Glad you like them!
❤❤❤
Everything you've shown on your bed turning are just lovely.
Those red maple Acer trees in your back yard are beautiful....you have a beautiful garden and back yard. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much!
You have a beautiful house and the conservatory is beautiful. I own a three bedroom ranch style house near Dunnellon, Fl. and three months of the year it is so hot and humid there are very few plants that survive that. My arthritis is getting bad enough that I dont work outside much anymore but I grew flowers and vegetables the part of the year here that is suitable for plants in the past. I have a pet Shipoo dog Taffy and she and keeping up my house and quilting is all that I can manage now. I did just finish a Halloween quilt that was designed by Pammie Jane and used fabrics from a collection called Kitty Litter fabrics.
I hope you’ve not been affected by the hurricane, there appears to have been some awful damage 😢
@@ailsau8995 My home is very hurricane proof...it was built in 1972 and has a hip roof, two foot soffit , strong jalousie windows, and is made of concrete block and stucco. So since it was built , it has been through many hurricanes. I also live on a paved street with great drainage. It is one story ranch, and surrounded by other homes so the wind is blocked. Thanks for asking. Also all the utilities are buried underground . I didnt lose power and nothing was damaged in my yard. I also do not live near the coast but am inland.
Your videos came into my YOu Tube feed , the one with the halloween quilt thumbnail, which is beautiful. I live near Dunnellon, Florida, USA, and I am seventy five years old, and retired since sixty five. I worked for the State of Florida, Dept. of Children and Families in several different jobs, the last one being child abuse investigator. I am divorced since 2000. I love your quilts and patterns and glad to hear the books and fabrics that you got inspiration from. I am going to order the jelly roll books from Amazon soon. I am currently making quilts for neices and nephews who live in state of Minnesota where they have cold winters. I recently completed a quilt for myself and used a quilt pattern that was in the book called Home for the Holidays quilt patterns written by My Quilty Life Sherri and Chelsea (they have a YT channel).
you have a very beautiful interior design ..........love it
Good luck with all!
This was very inspiring and motivating, thanks for sharing. I love how you use your book, and your grandson's artwork is a nice contribution. :) I just discovered this diary, it's my first year using it. I use stickers etc too. I can't wait to have a collection of them, over years to come.
Love your stickers :))
Thank you, they are mainly from The Craft Shop in Strikes garden centres
Ahh, ok, I've never heard of Strikes before here in Scotland :)
Hi Ailsa, what a lovely home. I'm so envious of your lovely craft room. The gardens and views are gorgeous too. Hope you enjoyed the dishes (at least you have a lovely view out of the window as you work) Ali x
I have really enjoyed the view this Autumn as the colours have been so beautiful!
Hi Ailsa, I loved looking through your planner. It looks so organised and certainly vital in your busy, caring role. Look forward to more videos, Ali x
