so what was that knocking?
I’ve worked on 25+ ST1100’s so far and unfortunately in most cases problems (if any) with these machines is the previous owner who neglected the bike. These bikes are almost indestructible if maintained property
You did not show actual service of carbs?
Not long enough to read text .. not enough detakl..
Even after the cleaning, it has a terrible knock!! Sell the Sumbitch!!
good stuff but I was hoping for a bit more of a look at the carb removal process. Guessing it's just keep removing things until they come out in your hands... Viva!
Tyskie z Polski ;)
Lights off... that’s humorous! In 🇨🇦 we don’t have that option!
Hey man, nice job. Did it ever give that horrible engine thump knock after that?
good job sonofabitch.
nice one mate,,,,, lose the music tho eh?
Is that tyskie Polska beer , my favorite when I was drinking .
Terrific vid. Watching people tackle stuff like this makes it seem much more do-able yourself. What a difference and that horrible knocking went too 👌
que fue de ese ruido,, se acabo solo con el aseite nuevo?
Not sure about the drumming an guitar noise in the engine lol 😂👍👍
For advanced only. I have no idea what guitar string method means and was hoping for step by step explanatory video.
That’s two minutes I’ll never get back. Doesn’t show anything helpful As far as removing the carburetor
Man , you got me good. With the bike running and the music I first thought the bike was making that sound of the beat of the music. That was funny. Norman.
Wow, well done Kazik! As I see, big projects works succesfull only with Tyskie! Hehe...
Well done...
Not a good idea to tell people to listen to engine noises and play heavy music in the background at the same time !
Nice video. Look up "st1100 red wire conversion". A very common issue. thanks bro
AKA Red Wire Bypass :)
Now this is what I call a Carburetor Party ! ( times Four ! )
👍
Cześć! Właśnie kupiłem st 1100 ex police. Będę się odzywał w różnych sprawach motorkowych bo tej bestii nic nie iem. Pozdrawiam, ładnie tyskie się komponuje z gaźnikami:-)
Thank you very helpful. 👍
beau travail !!
I had been riding bikes for over 50 years , had all sorts in my life ...the ST 1100 was great .. old git 72
mine did this after standing for a few months, the fuel was dead and it knackered the plugs, I bought new NGK plugs from EBAY only to find they were Chinese copy's after a lot of messing about with a misfire.. I put in genuine NGKS and some Redex fuel system cleaner and it worked just fine after a good run.. Conan
Good video but annoing music - much better with sound of engine only
A job well done. If this bike had a previous owner, then he did a bad job of taking care of it. My ST 1100 has 77,000 miles on it and its in much better condition.
How turns did you come out on the pilot screws on your ST1100, The manual says 2 5/8 for my bike here in America, mine at 2 5/8 runs a bit sluggish and I may need to come out another turn and a half.
Nice video, I too have a ST1100 and I also have carb problems, see my videos on Max1Chase1 on the ST1100 especially on removing the carbs off the bike and other mechanical things, I have 2 channels so I hope you see them on the ST1100, Hope it helps.
Tyskie czyści naj lepiej👍Dobra robota👍
Darek Lewandowski 🤣🤣🤣👌👌💪🤘 dzieki!:)
hey i was wondering if you could help me with something?..I rebuilt my carbs and put them back on and the bike is running better but i did not adjust the float height properly..do you know the float height spec for the 96 st1100?
FastLifeTV hi,thr best way is if you google it..I dont remember exactly :) on the web is st1100 forum and there is everything what you need:) just put in google what do you ned + honda st1100 and should be fine:) thanx and Kind regards
I have the carbs off, thanks to you.. I am in the process of taking them apart and I just wanted to ask if you knew where I could order OEM parts like the Boots, Float Needles ect.? Thanks again man.
FastLifeTV oh Nice man!:) but I you should google it or ask on facebook grouo if you are a member.. if not than join to some honda st1100 facebook group and they will help you for sure:) good luck mate:)
Hey man, love the video! I have and 96' st1100 that shuts off like yours if I close the choke but it is still rideable just seems to be low on power, I was going to try the sea foam method first, do you think I should? Or should I just go right for the carb removal? Any information helps, thanks
FastLifeTV seafoam its good to add to the petrol for daily usage but if you want have it done proper than remove ,inspect and clean carbs, its easy:) than sync them !:) good luck mate and thx fir sub. :)
kazik76 thanks you so much. You have no idea how much you just helped me..I will be sure to post my carb rebuild video..I recently took apart at my YZF600r carb and inspected and rebuilt so I think I can do it. Thanks again man. Btw, I'm learning how to ride for he first time on a custom st1100...it's a long story lol.
only 39 000 miles and already carb problems, thought st 1100 were rock solid ?
Mitty clinchard any carb will get plugged if you let it sit too long...it's still running and would ride strong even in that condition.
Petrol left in the carbs if not run for a long period goes like varnish blocking the small jet holes. It's a real pain to clean out. I learnt the hard way, always drain you carbs/system of petrol if your going to store your bike for long periods, it saves a lot of swearing.
Even with bad carbs, plugged up with varnish, they run great. You should sell the HD and get a real sturdy bike, st1100/st1300
Just picked up my first st1100 2001abs, just finishing up a quasi full service...dumping all fluids, and since bike has been sitting in storage for 3 years I ponder if I should pull carbs & clean? (It had a full topped up tank that smelled okay) When I picked up bike I boosted it to load on the trailer..yea I know that’s a bad idea, however it fired and ran smoooooooth at idle! Bike has 45,000klm, and I have very little $$$ in it...so far. It is a clean bike but lookin at the airfilter maintenance I don’t believe maintenance was done thoroughly...bad ripoff dealership! Anyone know if a factory pcv filter makes a huge difference? As I’m having a hard time finding one... I was going to make one out of foam air filter from a lawnmower!?
Hello! What's the strange sound of what? Horrible knocking noise in the engine.(1:25)
just a misfire on 1 cylinder
Hello! What's the strange sound of what? Horrible knocking noise in the engine.(1:25)
хорошее видео
Just purchased the same Model, and I have the same sort of noise COMING out of my left Bank - are you depicting here, this can be overcome by correct Carburetor set-up, as I was worried it might be more a mechanical issue = Valve Shims, gudgeon etc .... PLEASE REPLY
hi,after when carbs has been balanced knocking is gone:)
Well done! Awesome bike, enjoy!
I had a noisy alternator which eventually failed. Ended up costing a packet to get it replaced.
I don't like to hear the incantations on a background. If you want to hear it that your choice, but public should be safe. Enjoy riding and be saved.
I agree Andrey.
Some very important bits when you are working on an ST 1100, be sure to use a JIS Japanese industrial standard screwdriver on the carburetors so that you do not strip out the screw heads on the fuel bowls. Do not open the top of the carburetors unless you are replacing a diaphragm otherwise you might end up ripping a diaphragm. The bike will start but will not run properly until you put the airbox on and assemble it with the air cleaner. Good job!
Nice soundtrack!
Vladislav Kohhantsuk thx mate:) 🤘😈🤘
A very nice video, I have the Honda NT700V 2008 and I am thinking in getting the ST 1100.
Lord of Thunder ,thank You mate:) its good Idea but you must know that ST1100 is very heavy so before you buy it first try is it suitable to you,you must have a seat on ST:)
Sure, will try, I am 6'0 tall and a heavy dude so I guess I could handle her.
Its a great riding bike!
