Thank you!
Nice Tutorial! Check out our videos. We created the World's First Sublimation Rolling Tray compatible with your Heat press!!
That is what I do also using t shirt ties.
Much nicer finish than tying, thank you.
What size beads are you using and where did you purchase them
O JEAN PITTMAN They are commonly called pony beads and can be found in the arts and craft stores as well as Walmart. You can also find them in beauty supply stores.
can it be done side ways around ears?
LelaB B - i am not sure i understand the question...
So smart!
Is there a certain size bead I should get for a given width elastic? I have a few masks, and the elastics are different sizes. And can I get the beads online? I am in a vulnerable group and don't want to go to a store. What do I call them? Thank you!
Christine Celata they are commonly called Pony Beads. They fit 1/4 in easily. Darice 06121-2-021 Big Value Plastic, 9mm, 1000 Piece Opaque Color, Pony Beads, Multicolor, Package May Vary www.amazon.com/dp/B004D9DMMW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_.OjjFbEKQ8D5D
THANK YOU SO MUCH, SO EASY ❣️
How long did you cut the elastic
Joanna Estrada mine are 9 inches long on each ear.
What size of garter (in inches) and pony beads (in mm) are you using?
LoisUnknownShadow. I make each ear 9 inches. Darice 06121-2-021 Big Value Plastic, 9mm, 1000 Piece Opaque Color, Pony Beads, Multicolor, Package May Vary www.amazon.com/dp/B004D9DMMW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_.OjjFbEKQ8D5D
Sorry, I should have specified to pull only one piece of the elastic through the bead at a time, when you're pulling the second two pieces through. Two at a time just won't fit through the small hole. It also helps if you fold to flatten the elastic around the loop of dental floss you're pulling through the hole of the bead.
It is possible to get a length of dental floss, put the two ends of the floss through the bead leaving a loop large enough out the other end to put your elastic through and then pull that through the bead, bringing the elastic through with it. A little hard to describe but very easy to do once you get the drift. Good luck!
The pleats should face down, facing up catches dust and droplets.
Connie DeTevis Much like a surgical mask, when fully extended over the face the mask does not present with any tiers in which to catch dust and particulates.
Love this technique Wish you could have shown exactly how you put two pieces of elastic into the bead It kind of faded out
You twirl and twist them together and you can even cut the ends at an angle to give yourself a point. If that still does not work for you then tape them together sort of like the end of a shoelace and twist the bead on.
@@seriouslysimplewithsiriboa30 Thank you and I like the taping idea hadn't thought of that Thanks again
Barbra just be sure to give yourself an extra inch of elastic to account for where you will be cutting it off on an angle.
@@seriouslysimplewithsiriboa30 Thanks
@@seriouslysimplewithsiriboa30 Yaay! I finally got it to work thanks to you, I've never heard that suggested before to wrap some tape around it I just tried it and it works perfectly! Thanks again so much I was getting so frustrated with this. And frankly I think using this is so much superior to not having it be adjustable I actually don't use elastic I use paracord and it works great
You're such a good teacher and explain things so well
Thank you! I am in fact an educator. Former classroom teacher and former principal.
Is there a way to add beads to already sewn on straps?
Fold your elastic, add the bead then tie or sew some sort of stopper onto the end of your elastic. Or tie the end of your elastic into a knot as a stopper.

Thank you for your share. I just subscribed to your channel. Keep it up dear!
I love this idea I'm using paracord I wish I could make it go through the pony beads but it won't ☹️
maybe a cord stopper will work?
@@kajohnson861 Yes I consider those at one time but they're kind of big and they're expensive actually I have figured out how to make it work I got the paracord, then cut it at an angle so the end of it will have a point melted a little bit with the lighter wrap some clear tape around it and it goes right through... I know that sounds like a lot but it really is and it goes pretty fast
Great simple idea. God bless. 💕💕
Where do these beads come from? Is it jewelry Dept or craft Dept or sewing department? I have looked for them, but can’t find them. Thank you.
Barbara Haney They are commonly called Pony Beads. The dollar store will have them in the craft section. You can find them in a the beauty supply store as well. Major craft chains carry them in kid’s craft section.
Seriously Simple with Siriboa Thank you!!
thank you. I have made 1300 face masks. I size them personally for each face. But it takes more time to do it, but I feel if the mask fits well the person will use it more so it is worth whatever to make it happen. If this works, the adjustable with the beads it will certainly be easier for me as well as person needing the mask, it is amazing how many people do not have a tape measure to get me the the correct measurement for their mask. Thank you for the simple direct instruction.
Thank you for this. You have a new subscriber!
I thread my elastic through the bead with a large needle.
Perfect! I had masks made for me but they were tie up straps and I couldn't keep them in my kids as they kept sliding down. This a perfect solution with materials I already have! Thanks so much!!!
Exactly what I needed!! Just made my first one and worked like a charm! Thank you - Much love and stay safe!!
Thank you, can't wait to give it a try.
This is a game changer? What type elastic are you using? Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!!
Marilyn. This is 1/8 inch elastic. I have fit these beads over 1/4 inch also. It just takes some work to get the beads on.
Thank you for sharing this hopefully it will help someone ❤🤗
Thank you so much for this tutorial!!! I was leaving the elastic just open and people were tying themselves to size --- but this is soooo much better!
This is fantastic. I was at my wits end trying to get both ends into the bead until I read your comment about cutting the ends at an angle. It worked!! Thank you so much!!
This is a fantastic idea. Thank you so much for sharing. Stay safe.
Will this work on the boot laces?
It sure will… It just depends on if you can get both ends through the hole in the bead. I have used this with twill ribbon as well to make adjustable straps.
I was looking for ideas for my next video. This is an awesome tip!!!!! 💃🏽
How long is your elastic?
Kay A - I cut mine 9 inches on each ear and that gives me a quarter inch to a half an inch to tuck into the mask when i sew and allows for the adjusters without being tight. Keep in mind that elastic length is based off of how far back your mask comes on the side of the face.
Any tips for getting the second bead on?
ruclips.net/video/Te38jbZf_vQ/видео.html
If you elongate the tips of your elastic meaning cut them on an angle then you should be able to feed both pieces of elastic through. Just make sure your initial piece is long enough that you can account for cutting off the slant when it’s time to sew.
@@seriouslysimplewithsiriboa30 tried that but I'll try again but make it longer.
You can also use a crochet hook to pull it through the bead.
