The 19 year old 254XP still has spunk enough to buck firewood on my processor. My old saw, a 1998 gave up the ghost but the carburetor is still spitting gas in the 2000.

I'd told Dwayne Lazar I would make a video on the Bridger #5 trap setter I had made. Took a month or so but here it is finally. By the way, Dwayne has a great RUclips channel if you like coyote trapping/snaring.

Trapping season seems to be pretty well done for me for this year.

When skinning a swollen headed coyote (jello head) or one that has been shot and has or will have blood coming out of its mouth just flip it over when you come to the neck area. It helps keep the blood of the fur. This can be done on a skinning machine or just by hanging it skin up on your gambrel. The weight of the coyote will be enough. No need to pull much at this point. Caught a few beavers, an otter and a racoon today. The racoon isn't in the vid. I only picked it up later in the day.

This is the first fisher I've ever caught. A purely accidental catch in a 330 conibear at a bobcat set. The carcass was brought in and the pelt was checked and stamped by DNR today. Any accidental catch has to be reported to DNR and after the first if any other fishers are caught they have to be delivered to DNR.
