I love this reaction. I like that you repeat parts of the lyrics that cathes your attention. I'm not really interested when RUclipsrs try to explain the meaning of the songs as it's told on Genius, what I look forward to is to hear about how they're connecting with the song, what emotions and memories it brings up for them. I personally think that the part of her imitating HERSELF is like: "I pretend to be somebody who looks cool and almighty, even though i don't feel like it because all of my past experiences". I believe there is more hidden messages in the music video connecting to the song and the feeling it wants to show, we just need to dig a little further.

The upcoming album, Perverts, is totally separate from the Daughters of Cain story. I heard Hayden has said that Preacher’s Wife won’t be out for quite a while as she wants to do this whole project through her life so she won’t release that until I would assume like early to mid 30s 😅 loved the reaction!!

The special version also included the song Ring My Bell which had been put on before the remixes. If you listen to the demo version of Beat Goes On it's completely different

Pls, def give the EPs & latest single a listen. 🙏🏼😊 Yeah, Hayden notoriously deletes posts. Though, it's not usually in the same way someone like Poppy does where these purges signify a beginning or end of eras and projects. It's more random and impulsive. That said, I was very happy, (and always am when I see it,) to see you clock her as an unreliable narrator in "Thoroughfare," and I am always relieved when I'm watching a reaction and the person knows what "came home in a box" means. So, if you YT search "Ethel Cain reaction," (as I do every so often hoping to find new reactions of the albums or live performances,) what you'll find is about half of those reactions are of "Ptolemaea." It's become a real, "hEy LiStEn To HoW cRaZy ThIs SoNg Is," repeat play to see the reaction of different people, (especially when we get to the scream.) I do not believe people are actually repeat listening to it the way we do "Family Tree," "House In Nebraska," & "Sun Bleached Flies." I think this reaction was great, in part, because you know the beats of the story without diving too deeply, while letting the songs speak for themselves. My only real critique of the album is that I wish the end of "Thoroughfare" had been a separate, "interlude," track. 🙏🏼😊 Godspeed.

You missed the critical lyric on the first letter to God. "Please God, I wanna be sick". She actually asks God to be sick because she saw a kid with leukemia get showered with love and attention by his parents when he recovered. In the second letter, she talks about how she wouldn't have prayed to get sick if she knew it would come later in life. "Because I never would have said it if I knew I'd have to wait". The third letter, she questions whether or not there is a God and how unfair it is that she is sick when she finally has someone to truly love (her son).

I’m glad Alyssa won I was rooting for her but in regards to the episode 11 I think it was fair to get all Rupaul songs considering no one was really at a disadvantage plus it’s was cheaper to do that and try to get songs cleared and paid for also they were given the songs when they came to the competition and they all get that airpod to listen and learn all the lipsync songs so if they didn’t do that that’s on them Eva took the time to learn because those songs could’ve been used at any given point throughout the season so if it’s a lipsync for your life and you don’t know the words you should lose

I struggled through this season. But i stuck around because i wanted alyssa to finally get her win. And im glad they didnt play in her face like theyve done other girls in the past

About the song "Some girls", there's nothing wrong with shaming. People are made of glass these days. They have to learn how to take opinions and criticism. It's part of life, deal with it.

Maybe it’s just cos I was a 14 yr old high schooler at a really comfy and charmed place in my life when I got this CD for Christmas and remember it playing on repeat during that Christmas break Bedtime Stories is one of my favorite Madonna albums

And to answer your question Tinashe wasn't on Boom Clap but I can understand misunderstanding "'Cause we made them 'Boom Clap,' made them get '2 On' " because of Charli saying "we made them". The significance of that lyric is that they both separately had songs released in 2014 that were early in their careers that helped propel them to mainstream recognition, and now ten years later they both are re-peaking with Nasty & BRAT. Also yeah they have a collab song together that's a Ty Dolla $ign song released in 2015 with Charli XCX and Tinashe featured called Drop That Kitty. Medulla is a full vocal album, there’s maybe one piano and one synth somewhere but that’s all. Multiple Vocalists participated to the recording + female / male choirs The vocals are either raw and or more or less edited to bring an electronic feel to it, so the album still has an acoustic/electro ambivalence like all other bjork albums, but the the source material is always the human voice, including the beats. Sometimes even heavily edited, the instrumental on track 8 Desired Constellation isnt a synth its from a word she sings in Hidden Place (Previous album) chopped and edited very quickly to Create that pattern. Its really a brillant album
