I have the exact same problem as everyone else with the grinding bits for the Mini G. Also the Mini G platform wears down at the point where I hold the glass to grind which makes for an imperfect grind. I bought a new Mini G and the same thing happened. The plastic is too soft and creates a dip.

I saw you using tape to connect the strokes. Is this a special kind of tape?

Can you use other brands of bits with this grinder?

This is an official unboxing video from the company; it is linked on their website. The video very clearly shows that this grinder comes with two bits (3/4" and 1"). However, the one I received this week does not contain both - it only contains the 1". I called customer service, and they refused to provide the missing bit. They simply said, "sorry, that video is a few years old." I'm sorry, but that's not good enough. The whole point of an unboxing video is to show your customers what they're getting. I haven't felt more ripped off in a long time. This is highly unethical business practice.

I have the same problem as the other people that have commented on this video about the bit unscrewing itself and wobbling out. So I emailed Techniglass about it on December 3rd. They replied on December 5th asking for some photos of my bits. I sent the pictures the same day. Haven't heard from them since. I emailed again on December 13th and again on December 27th. They never mentioned that this was a known issue in our correspondence. As a business owner myself (not glass related) I understand that issues can happen in the course of running your business, but it's how you handle them that really says alot about your business. Customer service is key. The threaded spindle won't even allow my 1/8" bit to screw down all the way. The 1/4" bit will but wobbles out. The threads on the bit are smooshed at the bottom. So it seems like because their bit doesn't stay in place, unscrews and wobbles out it damaged my threaded spindle. So now I can't even use the 1/8" bit if I wanted to. The way they designed the bits and how they get screwed in is faulty and caused additional damage to my grinder. And now they won't even reply to my emails. This is so disappointing because I use alot of their other products as well. I will update if they ever do reply to my emails.

Hello, I'm a stained glass artist located in Istanbul, Turkey. Would it be suitable for me to use in 220V AC and where can I purchased it?

Just used the jewellery bits on the mini g this week. The smaller one unscrews itself off when grinding - most annoying. Can't you give us a fix for this or send us one that works! After all, we have paid good money for the mini g set up and the whole thing is no good if the bits do not work properly.

When I’m trying to use my mini G and jewelry bits the buts will screw themselves off when I’m trying to grind and I have to rescrew it back every 15 seconds or so, making it really difficult to get any work done. What can I do to prevent that? Or what can I do to fix it? That and having my 3/4” bit seize up when I’m trying to remove it have been giving me a lot of issues the past few months!

why do you have to take it apart to add the smaller bit? can't you just unscrew the larger bit and screw in the smaller one?

Would this bit work with Glass star grinder?

I have had a couple of problems with this grinder. One is that the bit is a sleeve that fits on top of the shaft and tightens on. The problem is the sleeve bit ring does not tighten on tight enough and as you grind the sleeve bit ring slides up and down, impossible to grind this way. Bad design flaw. 2ndly the table surface. The bit has too large a space between the shaft and the surface of that you rest the glass piece on. So for small pieces of glass they fall into the water. A real pain if you have small pieces.

I am not getting water to slash on the grinder bit. When I grind there is no water just the dust from the glass being grinded what am I doing wrong with this assembly?

Hi! Where can one purchase the threaded bits for the mini g? I am having a heckuva time sourcing them!

You would think for the price of this thing, they would make it easier to clean. My area where i work is no where near a sink. I work in the garage, and would have to carry it throught the garage up the stairs, through the door across the kitchen to get to the sink. Maybe in the future they could improve on this cleaning so it does not slosh everywhere if you are unable to keep if flat, and have a long ways to go to empty it.

Wonderful, it comes in a nice box.... Would have been much more helpful if the operation was demonstrated, comparing it to others on the market.....
