My mom was a teacher and not just any teacher a super teacher who went back and got 2 additional masters and became a principal. I tried my own thing. Went to college for film, then wound up teaching. I left that cause girl that is HARD! Now I own my own business much softer and more present for my own kids. It was the 80’s girl, no child left behind except your own 👀😂😂. Today I’m all in my kids course work and homework. My daughter wants to own her own businesses and be a traveling nurse (she’s 11) cause she sees me do so much and I’m like more power to you. This is a great topic!

My mom was a stay at home mom, but I worked to support my kids, and am still working to support them because I am a single mother of two disabled children who can't take care of themselves but are learning because New Mexico schools passed one threw without knowing how to read or write due to autism

My mom worked (she and my dad had me at 18, still married today, but very humble beginnings)…I kind of fell into this stay-at-home mom by having too many kids, daycare was becoming more expensive than a mortgage lol

My mom works at card company. They paid for her to go to college and get her masters degree after they told her you do this we will move higher in the ladder. Well that never happened. So I learned that don't trust employers when they say to go to college we will pay for it. I am a stay at home mother of soon to be four.

I was raised in a single family home, my mom worked retail off and on till I graduated. I’m now a HR director; watching my mom career choices did impact my decision I wanted to pursue a leadership role in my career and have a consistent work schedule

I was raised by a single divorced when I was 2. It was just my mom and I. She worked really hard. She worked 40 plus hours a week. I never thought I would be a staybat home mom. I had no intentions of being a SAHM. I planned to work. I was a SAHM until my ex walked out on my son and I when he was 9. I was able to find an online teaching job and continue being at home. I also pulled my son from public school because of so things and he went to school online. Then when he was almost 12 he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. I was so glad to be home with him. My mom also moved in with my son and I after myų ex left. Anyway...Here we are. My son is in college and I still work from home. Oh and he played travel baseball and soccer so this allowed me as a single mom to travel and work and be the best mom ever.

I believe it’s determined by your circumstances. My mom became a stay at home mom, because she was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis. I became a stay at home mom (kind of) because I had 4 kids and it became a lot. My husband made enough to support a family of six so it was the right thing to do for my family.

If it’s an extreme hairstyle change-YES. There should at least be some form of discussion, even if for preparation & notice-NOT for approval. My friends & I went through this years ago. One of us had very long-mid-back length hair all of her life; this is how her husband met her. She cut off all of her hair to one of those really short/Tamron Hall-length haircuts-without discussing the haircut with her husband. He was VERY UPSET; & rightfully so. He even walked out of their home! He fell in love with her & an image & felt betrayed! While his reaction was extreme, we told her she should have told him she was chopping off ALL of her hair. Your hairstyle looks like more of a trim. It’s not so drastic whereas your husband would be shocked/stunned. His reaction was just right/measured. He noticed it & liked it. Change is sometimes good. Some women are defined by their hair length; their hair is their glory-especially when they’re not physically attractive. It’s all they have going for them re: their appearance & they know it. Hence, they would NEVER cut their hair. That’s when it’s an issue.

We would buy all school supplies then before we go back we would get some more shoes and school clothes

I go to a private school and they give us like a 3 page list (its crazy) my first year I thought it was crazy but we absolutely use everything on the list and we need the stuff so much that if someone does not bring the correct thing a note is sent home and they are required to bring it ASAP
