A ride around Roman Norfolk to Caistor St Edmund, Burgh Castle and Caister-on-Sea.
A great excuse for a ride around the Norwich and Great Yarmouth area provided by the Romans.
Firstly to Caistor St Edmund near Norwich to see the walls of the Roman town of Venta Icenorum.
Secondly to explore the monumental ruins of a Roman Fort known as Burgh Castle, just to the south of Great Yarmouth.
Finally, the Romans revealed by archaeology - the remains of another fort at Caister-on-Sea, this time north of Great Yarmouth.
Join me as I seek out the Romans in Norfolk.

Join me as I ride into the pre-history of the Cotswolds. An early Spring ride into the Cotswold Hills to see a prehistoric stone circle, burial chamber or dolmen and standing stone, before riding on to enter an Iron Age fort. All roads are interesting. Take the A1101, with its turnpike history, from Suffolk to Cambridgeshire to Norfolk and back to Cambridgeshire, to find it is the lowest A road in the UK, with the least-used station, a monument to Harley Davidson, near-flooded Washes, and a lost canal haunted by Toby the Tram Engine.
