Dave Matthews Band Live - Don't Drink The Water
Sco good
Dennis keyed the ground work for countless others since. He is the Michael Jordan of drumming. Give him his flowers whiles he is still here. Respect his gift, his passion, his why, his work in the dark, his diligent study of his influences and his contributions.
his drumming its super nice!
and that signature final solo ending....some day I ll do that....
We should all get to see a Dennis Chambers solo before we die. It’s one of the few things that make total sense!😁😁
En 2024❤
😊😊😊😊😊fusion funk
GOD. DAMN.
Oh, and I'll just casually tighten my snaredrum head IN THE MIDDLE OF MY SOLO while I'm at it...
The way Chambers seamlessly switches from regular (i.e. hitting the snare with the conventional left hand) to the right is nothing short of astounding. That and about a MILLION other things, that is...
If these guys were any deeper in the pocket, they'd be in the Centre of the Earth.
Chambers JUST DOESN'T GIVE A F*CK. Look at the way he stares into the camera 15 seconds into the clip as if to say 'Go get me a cheeseburger while I rip the almighty BEEJAYSUS OUTTA THIS DRUM KIT'. True evidence of GODS striding the planet.
Am i wrong or does scofield use the same tone for every song he does?
Gary came to New York with an eye to play with Lainey Stern for a minute. He slept on my floor. Then he became a star.
Killing concert! So damn good! www.youtube.com/@jonnreyna1
Dennis looks like a secretary at work
Le plus grand batteur que cette terre ait portée !
Dennis has been playing the same solo for 30 years he is still my favored Dummer, but i don't get the Suprise like watching Larnell Lewis
This is Dennis revealing “Chops Galore Inc” including speed, time sig precision, creativity, etc. Reminds me of way back in the day when Dennis played with Skylab at a local Baltimore club (when off the road). Skylab had Tony Bunn (bass), Jake Shepard (guitar) Paul Saroka (keys & lyricon) - and the musician would all leave the stage and give Dennis 15-25 min. Thanks to whomever for posting this!! 🙏🏾👍🏾🔥❤️
I've learned more about music from watching & listening to Dennis than I think I have from any other source, & I'm a guitar player. Back in the 1990s a drummer that I played with watched Dennis' instructional vids nonstop, & the entire band listened to P-Funk Allstars Live at Beverly Theater CD. Anyway, my drummer had heard that Dennis gave private lessons somewhere around Baltimore. Well, I'm from the Eastern Shore & was running crabs up there several times a week so I went through every phone book up there until I found it. I booked a private lesson (I can't remember the price), but I told my drummer we were going up to Chuck Levins & right before the Bay Bridge I told him what was really happening. He about crapped himself. So we get there, here comes Dennis around the corner & I about crapped myself too lol. BUT... the people at the drum store said only one person could back because it was a very small room & there were 2 kits. I explained that I had paid, & that I'd stand in the corner, but if only one of us could go back that it was going to be me, & I didn't even play drums. Well Dennis gave me this look over top his glasses like, "boy shit," & told me to grab a stool but my legs would have to straddle his hi-hat. I saw everything, hands & feet - including him doing one-footed bass triplets. I've seen Dennis quite a few times since, but that experience changed my life.
do you prefer the sonar drums dennis - or the pearl drums dennis
It was in Poland, I remember this live!
Gary Grainger’s work on Eumir Deodato’s “Night Cruiser” record is sooooooo good.
Slow 🔥 ‼️
if you want a full version search on youtube "John Scofield Group Live"
Great, great giant!
I love him with Sonar!
He looks like Jerry Cantrell shredding on the drums lmao
Dennis même pas il force force de la nature ( Guy platteau Marseille)
You forgot to add Arto Tuncboyaciyan on percussion and vocals.
Terry! Awesome
who is the bass player?
Gary absolutely killin’ it 🤯
Gary's been my favorite drummer since I saw him playing with Chick Corea EB II back in 1993.
sonor? pearl
this lineup is when i first saw sco. i think it was october 86 at the great american music hall in san francisco. the gods came down from olympus and blessed us with sound.
Chambers se va al pingo, no es humano el grone...
RIP Bobby berg
Allan’s tone is just otherworldly
Yup, is a very special sound, i would love to learn those piano chords, i like it so much
Репетируют?))
He plays there on Sonor Drums, isn't he a Pearl Endorser...?
Some kit , Sonorlite ! the whole nine yards
Terri Lyne Carrington is a real drummer, like Phil Collins, John Bonham, Ian Paice, Mitch Mitchell or any drummer you might think about.

this is some Aphex Twin level rhythm shenanigans
Stamina and speed ... cant say anything for Dennis Chambers. U the best Dennis ! !!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
chamber with attitude CWA
Such a great solo. Can hear a lot of Gergo Borlai’s chops are inspired by this man. He inspired all of us!
Unglaublicher Dennis Chambers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So bad mofos here. Dennis was KILLING!!! His power 👍
I liked the part where the bass wasn't soloing the entire time
quel showman ce dennis chambers quelle virtuosite quelle energie c juste purement incroyable je l avais oubliee cette video.....et dire que je continue a essayer de tenter des pov roulements sur une caisse claire....
This bass tone + noodling not working here. Chances are, if you aren't a bass player or merely admiring the technical skill, you won't enjoy it at all. There are definitely great sounding bass solos, this isn't one of them.
