It’s horrible that she lost her sister, but her sister wouldn’t want her to blame herself for trying her best. You go girl. I have a few tips on how to deal with them , 1. Always carry something you can protect yourself with in case they jump you or anything. 2. Record all your calls / messages with them in case needed for court 3,(for your son’s safety at school for pick up) don’t let him go on a bus instead, get all the staff at the school to know that ONLY the parents will be able to pick your son up or best friend in case your busy and your husband is busy, let them know that relatives are not allowed to pick him up and if best friend wants to pick him up, must call you first to confirm. This is literally heartbreaking. The fact that she already had the trauma of past cheating and chose to trust a "man" (grown ass child) who had also been betrayed and knew the pain of this particular type of betrayal, is fucking inexcusable. And to do it with her "best friend" (jealous ass enemy in sheeps clothing) is honestly the most disgusting, selfish, and self-serving thing I've heard of in a very long time. And as sad as that is, it pales in comparison to the absolute no holds barred narcissism of a "mother" (an evil witch with a black hole of a heart) that she has dealt with her entire life actually covering and applauding the actions of these two (because why wouldnt she, she sees absolutely nothing wrong with it and has done the same exact thing her whole life), is actually the worst because the scars that come from this is quite possibly a real reason that she surrounds herself with people like this. Unresolved trauma is devastating and manifests in every aspect of a person's life, including the type of people they attract and surround themselves with. They have a hard time realizing that certain red flags are actually red flags, and to them, it seems normal. I truly hope this person gets the help she needs because this is going to take some time and some deep soul searching. I have faith that she will get there, but there is definitely a long road ahead. Thank goodness for her aunt and for Tony because i think that their ally-ship will help her heal and will give her a support system she desperately needs. Such a brutal story.

Rule no.1 of going no contact with an abusive parent is to stay no contact. OP could have easily avoided this if she rejected Karen's offer of reconciliation
