GM Wong learned Bak Siu Lam with GM Yan Chang Mo, And yes, Wong defeated Lee Jun fan and the proof of this is that he spent his entire life in San Francisco, and Jun Fan left after the defeat and, not content with Wing Chun, he created his jeet kune do. Bak siu lam can be a powerful style depending on who trains and how they train.

There are a lot of techniques inside this choreography that are not obvious. The footsweep, chin kick is a pretty time proven technique. The side kicks into the ribs is still done today in shotokan by people like Jean Claude van Damme. And the Nidan Geri is still successfull too, have look at Nidan Geri Waza - Double Kick Technique - ( Lyoto Machida Exemple Kick )

You don't need to be a great fighting expert to realize that in terms of martial efficiency, traditional kung fu styles leave a lot to be desired. If someone like this style (even an expert) in the video were to confront a good practitioner of Krav Maga, Kickboxing, BJJ, Kyokushin karate, for example, they would be defeated. It's important to have a critical sense when analyzing something instead of behaving like a fanatical extremist about that same "something", as it doesn't help in an honest and intelligent analysis. However, I recommend that those who like martial arts regardless of style, including kung fu, practice it.
