Looks cool, I would like to go, but I don’t wanna drive four hours to get there a bit too far for me unless I’m going to the Grand Canyon or Sedona I live in Tucson, up north they have a lot of nice places. I wish I had more of those down here.😊
Hello guys. I have a question. How far does it take to walk from this hotel, to the Colonial Hotel? I would really appreciate your answer back .!!
All the hotel complexes are right beside one another. There is a nice walk along the beach boardwalk and you can easily reach the other hotels in 10 minutes. to 20 minutes to reach the end. Next to the Maya Palace is the Colonial, Tropical and Caribe, all an easy walk along the beach

Planning a trip to AZ in October. What would air & water temperature be then in that canyon? And what would crowds be like? Is the reservation quote-based? Good time to go? So beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
The temperatures vary year to year, but October is usually a great time to visit Arizona. September can still be in the 100's, while October has been in the low 90's and 80's, a good time to wade up the river as the water levels fall in October. Perfect for walking up the river and cooling off. You can also walk along the trail and cross the river a few times, but it is a wonderful experience to be able to walk up the river shaded by the cottonwoods and finally into the canyons. Yes, reservations are required as that kept the number of people in the canyon very low.

Thanks for posting the video. How long does it take from Phoenix to Aravaipa can? How cold was the water at that time of the year?
Aravaipa Canyon is about 120 miles and over a 2 hour drive. As you see from the video, the last road is a nice but often windy dirt and gravel road. Keep in mind that Aravaipa Canyon has two entrances, west and east. We are talking about west canyon. The approach to the east entrance takes about 4 hours from Phoenix and is a rougher road with some possible water crossings. People usually back pack when they want to explore the entire canyon, as it would be a very long day. We went about a third of the way in, which made it a very relaxing and doable hike. As I mentioned in the previous comment, the temperature is perfect for walking in the water and it isn't cold. Buy some water socks that work perfect for walking up the river.

Hello, I have visited the Tucson area many times. I would like to hike up Picacho Peak. Have you ever done that hike?
We live 15 minutes from Laguna Beach CA. and are timeshare owner with Vidanta, but have not gone to Puerto Penasco. Thank you for sharing with total honesty. We have been to the Nuevo Vallarta and San Jose del Cabo properties and both were spectaculiar and amazing. No missing tiles, no old or unfinished buildings. Nuevo Vallarta has a huge construction going on for a theme park. Which you will see while driving in to the Mayan Palace. We have not visited the Cancun property yet. Although we have visited Cancun 3 times in the last 15 years. Looks like we will go to Cancun before P.P. Thanks again!

Those red rocks are so magnificent
Absolutely! So many incredible places on the Colorado Plateau. As you probably know, this is just the southern edge of that part of the earth's crust that was pushed up during the Laramide Orogeny, allowing the subsequent downcutting to create all the canyons, mesas and incredible landscapes that we currently enjoy!
Nice video, but I have to say since nobody else has yet. The Palace is comparable to the TRS they’re both premium luxury resorts. It would have been better if you had shown the TRS since the renovations and expansion a few years back has really changed the resort. They took over what was the Riviera resort and made it into the TRS which was very small.

Great information!! We booked like 6 months ago. We stayed at dolphin condo and it was the best! My only problem was weather (humidity) 🥵 it was really bad the days I was there, but other then that everything was great. My kids loved the hotel water park we stay there the entire day!!! I do recommend the hotel!! Thinking of going back next year!!!!

😢 I remember mayan palace from 10-11 years ago , it was way better the indoor pool was on function and they have activities the main pool were in pristine condition 😢 , I’m about to get married and we were considering to get our wedding there but now I have my doubts 😅 , I recommend you las Paloma’s beach, or peñasco del sol ☀️ really nice video ❤

Great! I hope we helped you either experience Maya Palace in an honest way or you made a decision to find another location that best fits your needs. We still look fondly on our time at Maya Palace as it provided a more tropical feel with the wonderful pool areas and palm trees overlooking the sea.

Hello, we were there in fall of 2019. In the buffet there was an area just for kids and it looked great.

Hello Luis. I went to rentplayaazul.com and selected View Units. You get a complete set of photos of each condo unit with pricing. This site works with the owners to rent each condo. Be prepared for about 1/3 of the total cost of the condo to increase due to fees, taxes and cleaning fees. Good luck!
I recommend Bella sirena the plane is maintained like no other and it’s on Sandy beach , also it has allot of nice pools , jacuzzis bars ect and lot of palm trees 👌i love it

I've been an owner for about 20 years with Vidanta (Grand Mayan) they're evil sharks. Don't ever buy from them! We did get a good deal back then but they've gotten worse!

They do not, we had to hire a shuttle service.

Thanks for sharing. You have to want to be more isolated to come so far down to Mayan Palace. It does have very nicely done palm trees by the pools which many of the other large complexes don't have.
Guys, so you've been here when pamdemic already started. How things are there during this difficult time? Do we need to Wear a mask every where? How about self service buffet in restaurant? Are the animations limited? I will be there within a month 🤩
Fortunately, everything has settled down now and it feels like back to "normal".

Thanks. Of all the trails into the Catalinas this is probably the best for a short walk before you are on the trail. The parking lot is right at the beginning of the trail. Immediately on the trail you also have the option to take the side trail of Pontotoc that will also bifurcate into two options. Lots to see!
I went to Grand Palladium TRS Yucatan and Barcelo Maya Riviera (both adults only) and I liked everything better at Grand Palladium except for the beach and the breakfast. Palladium has better grounds, entertainment, unique restaurants, entertainment, luxurious feel etc. Both resorts have good and bad food for sure. But I love my breakfast hashbrowns and the ones when I went to TRS 2 yrs ago were fake. Where as Barcelo had perfect ones. I really hoped TRS improved the entire breakfast because those pancakes were chalky and the sausage was gross 🤣
Thanks for sharing. The beach at Grand Palladium down at the northern end was the best of both resorts, while the adult only pool area and food (and rooms) at Barcelo were the best. We also enjoyed the expansiveness and wildness of Grand Palladium as well.

Yes, it didn't affect the area we were in.
Are there any pool activities? Also, is there any bar service on the beach?
Every all-inclusive resort we have been to always as pool activities for both kids and adults. Water aerobics, volleyball, etc. The large pool for Maya Palace is just across the walkway beside the beach and this pool has a nice swim-up bar. None on the beach. One of the only drawbacks of this resort is that there is no food served at the beach or the pool. You have to go to the restaurants located a short walk away on a small bluff overlooking the rocky beach, but this is a more formal buffet or restaurant setting and not the quick nachos or chips and guacamole snacks that are nice to have on the beach or near the pool. Maybe they will change that someday?

Outstanding. The adult pool with the inexpensive daily cabana rentals was our favorite pool area of all hotels. The French restaurant was great and the pool fantastic. I hope it is as good as you remember it!

Barcelo has a Premium Service that includes Room Service, so probably not a part of regular service. It wasn't when we were there, but we didn't choose the Premium Service. I suggest you look into it and see if it is a value for you, for I guarantee they will try and sell it to you when you arrive.

Thanks for your question. Watch this Part 1 video and at 3:12 I show you on the map where the Secret Adult pool is located. It's in the Colonial section, where the other nice, smaller pool is in the Kantenah section. Both have bars, not swim-up, but nice
I highly recommend Palladium. The entertainment at Palladium is WAY better. The breakfast at Barcelo was better but the lunch and dinner was better at Palladium.
