From Oslo to an 'uninhabited' island by public ferry 🚢
➡️ Turn subtitles on! :)
On this journey I invite you to discover the perfect connection between the bustling city of Oslo and the serenity of an 'uninhabited' island. We will board together on a Ruter ferry, the public transport system of Norway's capital city, exploring the harmony between nature and city life.
From the city centre we will head to an island in the Oslo Fjord, Nakholmen, where tranquillity takes centre stage. It is an officially uninhabited island, but full of charming weekend houses, lovely walks, small hidden beaches, spectacular scenery and views of the centre of Oslo.

Does the immigration check take long?
Stayed in Malmo in 1972, before this road/bridge was built. Rode a ferry from Copenhagen.
Which place do you think is the most comfortable?
Very nice video ^_^ I didn't know that this route was in danger of disappearing...luckily it remained! I think the classic bus doesn't get on at Ekeberg.
Thanks, great job! Very helpful. I'll try to go there next year.
The city buses are electric, and so are most of the regional ones as well.
You can save 122 SEK with Mälartåg train and just 20 minutes from Arlanda to T-Centralen station Stockholm or buy a pendeltåg ticket for only 177 SEK (Arlanda extension + SL).
Great video 😊
You can get to city for 79kr with flixbus express bus to city in 40 minutes
Never take this train. They live on their monopoly of owning the station and bribed politcians. They did not pay any taxes in sweden in 20 years.
Que hermosura la 253
Great video. I'm visiting Stockholm next month for the first time. Looking forward to seeing the subway and everything else.
Would be nice to see the beginning part of getting into the tunnel.
I just took this ride today, it was beautiful
Should have cleaned the window
Es rápido el ave
A bus is never like a train😅. It is so much better👍
Thanks for great videos! How that single ticket system works example in Stockholm ferries? If we buy single ticket when we enter the boat at Nybroplan do we need to buy new one if we travel full route back to Nybroplan even it takes over 75min? Sry for my poor english.
In theory, yes, because a single journey ticket is valid for unlimited travel only for 75 minutes.
eh.. you can reserve a seat upstairs.. i guess you were to late
Es una pena que los quiten el 31 de mayo... Pero han durado mucho tiempo ❤
ön koltukların ücretleri farklı mı?
How much bus ticket? Oslo-Göteborg
23-29€ depending on when you order etc. Vy's webpage has an english language option if you want to check it out for yourself.
Looks like maybe a b style controller with both dynamics and the hand crank
There is no Polic control on the bridge?
Que ancho de via es???
La vía es de ancho métrico, es decir, de 1000 mm.
No era ancho ibérico?
I've been to the Central Station in Stockholm probably 10,000s of times - never noticed many of the details you showed here. How can I have missed those paintings? lol
Very good!
Thanks!
Great short trip. This trip Remind me when I playing ETS2. Really appreciate you got front row at double decker.
Thanks for your comment!
You pay extra for the front on the double decker, otherwise you have allocated seating
Varför behövde ni visa legitimation mellan Schengenländer?
Sverige har haft olagliga gränskontroller mot Danmark i snart tio år nu
Also palestinian flags ??
Nice tram!
Absolute old school. 😌
Yeeeeeeeees, Mocanita steam!!
Beautiful train station and surroundings! Very double-decker bus, nice views from the top decker! Impressed bridge and very beautiful road to Malmo with his beautiful Central Station! Congratulations, have a good evening!
You're absolutely right! 😄 Thanks for your comment.
I travelled that line in August this year. An unbranded single decker, not very much like a train. The bus station in Göteborg is on one side of the station and the replacement bus that eventually took me to the Öresund train is on the other side, quite a walk. I really prefer trains and I hope that (as announced) trains will run more frequently in the future. Looks like there are still infrastructure constraints (is Follobanen still out of order?) Earlier in July I had gone the other way in a train (Stadler FLIRT). I expected it to be S-Bahn like but it's actually comfortable enough and (unlike the Öresund trains) has snacks and coffee machines on board.
With a good coach, good driver and good road, the experience in general is much better that it sounds when you think on a long bus trip. It was the case, it was a comfortable trip. But yes, trains have a lot of pluses that improve a lot of the experience. Thanks for your comment!
@@PointOfTrips The bus is really comfortable, the space between seats is big, and the views from the windows are beautiful. The roads are not so flat, so some vibration experienced. An advantage against a train is big luggage compartment, a train has less space for bulky items. I travelled by train Gothenburg-Stockholm and by bus Stockholm-Oslo.
I have also travelled in a double-deck Flixbus from Copenhagen to Malmö to see the Øresund Bridge close up: ruclips.net/video/bIug8bkgbJY/видео.html. ✨
👍👍👍💗🤍💚
Thanks for your comment!
It's not expensive really. I used this twice so far this year. Arlanda to Stockholm. It's a good commute. Its better than London, trust me.
It is true that in other large cities in the world, going from airports to the center is an odyssey (in terms of collective public transport) compared to.
It is terribly expensive for 95% of europeans.Only people that pay with business card(not own money) think its okey to pay europes most expensive airport train.
Its worth saying that vehicle free height in Sweden is 4.5 meters. There is actually no rule how high a vehicle is alowed to be, but the free height is 4.5 (maximum that will fit under all bridges that are certified for free height). But that can mostly not be used on busses that travle to Norway and Denmark
Very interesting!
Fun fact: That Bistro car you got used to have a cinema and those pictures with the raindeer used to be movie posters. Then the tablets came and together with the free onboard wi-fi, the onboard cinema closed down.
Wow, I can't imagine! 😄 I will try to find some picture about that. Thanks for this fun fact.
Visiting Glen?
If Glen is Gothenburg, yes. 😉
@@PointOfTrips There is a saying in Sweden "Alla heter Glen i Göteborg" which translates to "Everyone is named Glen in Gothenburg", the saying comes from the the time where a football team in Gothenburg had I think 6 players named Glen
Thanks for posting. Isn’t Stockholm station concourse a delight? Wouldn’t it be great if Euston had murals depicting places served by the West Coast Main Line?
It's a delight, yes. 😊 And yes, I think it's a great idea to link the main stations with its routes through art.
🚌👍
Viking Linie is not Tallink-Silja Linie, Viking Linis goes only between Sweden and Finland. Viking Gabriella was going between Stockholm-Mariehamn-Turku, it's new ships on that route now. Nacka is not Stockholm even it lies outside Stockholm.
Thanks for this information! On the first point, I thought that Viking Lines' MS Viking XPRS operated between Helsinki and Tallinn.
M/S Viking XPRS goes as you pointed out between Helsingfors - Tallin, so goes even a ferry from Eckerölinjen which have traffik between Grisslehamn Sweden to Eckerö Alandia Finland.@@PointOfTrips
The big red house near the end of this clip is the former central post office.
Thanks for the info! It's a very beautiful building.
Bosnian narrow gauge 760 mm? Yup found it here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moc%C4%83ni%C8%9B%C4%83
Yes! Was very common in the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
We who lived in Scandinavia have always been able to travel free without passport, we only need a ID-card i.e driver licence.
Was this bus electric
I think not.
No it's not
There don´t exist any long distance busses that are electric of today. Only city and regional busses.
Thanks.
Bus station outside. How romantically old-fashioned.
Very cool! It combines modern and old pros.
@@PointOfTrips Haven't you seen the bus station in Helsinki, Finland?
@@artoeloranta2810 I've only seen it from the outside. It's in a shopping center, right?
Good video but annoying another RUclipsr wants to make some money out of adverts. Point of note - MTRX is a Chinese company muscling in on taking money off the Europeans - why the Swedish allow this is anyone's guess. Well, they did sell Volvo to the Chinese. Perhaps the Swedish government just hates its own people?
