DIY Battery Backup Part 1: Disassembly
Nobody is getting over on you on 1k, if anything, they just wanted the headache out of their life. Worst truck I've ever had in my life, go Ford, and Yota to live in peace.
I did that, no luck
Jack it up from the rear tow package. You don't need it up much. Just enough for a 2x4 like he's doin. Pry the old out with a flat head screw driver. Put dish soap on the timbrens with a little 2x4 under them. Then let the jack down. Then connect your boat or trailer on and get that weight on them. Good to go.
I have an 08 3.7ltr 5cyl Colorado. I cleaned my throttle body. It had lot of buildup when I hooked it back up and started it once you press the gas the idle hangs for awhile eventually will go back down . I drove it maybe 5 miles no change .
From time to time it's a good idea to blow crud out from under the hood and grills with a good leaf blower, especially before going into your intake system. No harm to remove/inspect your air filter and shop vac the air cleaner housing sometimes, too. I also wash out my radiator from the inside (Fan Side) to try and keep it clean. I love my '05 Colo.
🎉 thank you for your support and video
Im getting a P1276 code, throttle body sensor unlearned. Im considering cleaning my throttle body, but what do i have to do for the throttle body sensor to get relearned. I have a 2008 Isuzu I-290 with 146,000 miles, basically a Colorado.
Throttle body is not always the cause. Ignition coils and plugs also cause rough idle and surging
Thanks for the video! I was able to change it out in under 30 min! Now i have a working left signal!
The MAF retainer screws actually require a 5.5 mm socket to remove, but a 7/32 is the same size. Just like a 5/16 socket is almost exactly 8 mm.
So glad I have a can of that seafoam
Buy a ratchet
What about the gold nozzle coming off the throttle body, you don’t need to clean or spray it?
Thank you SO much, I've never done anything to a vehicle before and I'm so proud of myself right now for doing this whole thing! I know it probably doesn't seem like a lot to many people, but to me it's a LOT. So thanks. 😊
I need to find a VVT actuator for my 2.8 l 4 cylinder Colorado do you have any idea where I might find one
careful I cut the shit outa my hand on that bracket behind it so try to pry it out with flathead first
What a PRICK invented fuse box in that position. Gu king gmc
Sam hammer like a girl
U talk to much. Talking about the whole truck. Buddy get to work
Thank you
Thank goodness you explained well
I had my on Computer at work is it a throttle body replaced I clean mine and it works perfect today thank you
How many mechanics get cancer, not wearing, PPC . Safety First?
Thank you for the video. Unlike other videos, this actually helped. I'm having the same exact problem with my '05 BIG PREESH
Meh... If you're not going to show the disassembly and replacement why bother.
Ordered it doing the same thing didn’t fix the hyper flash. =(
Thank you so much for this! I'm currently trying to fix my first truck that was given to me from my beloved grandpa! I finally feel like I learned something useful
Is the the same process for a 4wd?
I have a 3.5 liter with 131k. had a low idle issue, ran great off idle. long tory short, collapsed pcv hose under plastic pre throttle body intake directly above spark plugs. the tube collapsed and was shitting oil into intake. cheap part. also did the 5 plugs. truck is a trooper now. BTW did the throttle body cleaning first, but it wasn't that nasty and it didn't change. i had my scanner on the car and cyl 4 had 820 counts. after plugs and pcv hose 0 counts
Awesome video. You gave me the confidence to try this.
That rough idle you spoke about was my I.A.C valve but I did do the throttle body cleaning first
You do not want to clean your throttle body with carb cleaner! You should only is throttle body cleaner or mass air flow cleaner that's all tho. Never carb cleaner. Bad advice
Read the active ingredients on can 👍😉
Also I get air in the rear but it doesn’t come out cold.
Does this actuator control both the mid and rear ac?
cant hear what you say
Recently bought one of these trucks with a Number 3 coil misfire. Changed the coil and spark plug and turns out there is blowback on it. Very sad that the engine is failing 😪 If I had known, would not have purchased it
THANK YOU!
I changed out both of them and the rear heater still doesn't work only blows cold air what can be the issue
Useless video
I know this is 3 years old but does anyone have the part number for this unit
I wanted to thank you for this video. I've had an 06 colorado for almost 3 years now. It has had the stalling issue since I've gotten it. I took it to a professional shop. They said it was most likely the vvt solenoid. Which WAS broken and needed to be replaced. But it didnt solve the stalling issue at my dismay... I called the professional and told them. They said that that means the problem is internal and it would cost me another $1000 - $1500 to fix. Not feasible for me at this time. So I surfed youtube for potential solutions and came across your video. This morning I cleaned the mass air intake sensor, which was caked with grime, and the throttle body, which was also caked with grime. I test drove it and it didnt stall once! I really hope that that was the issue. A simple cleaning could have saved me a ton of money. Thank you so much for your video!
My husband's pick up, 5 cyl has been running rough with low idle. Thank you I shall try your method and I have replaced the blower motor wires again in one yr.
Bought my first car and my supposed truck with no issues has this problem, how different would this be with an inline 5? Thank you for the tutorial aswell
It is basically the same.
I have a 2006 Chevy Colorado that cranks good everything normal but when ever I get to a stop sign ut suddenly shuts off or when pressing the break or when I make any maneuver like turning to the sides or backing up it shakes and losses power causing the engine to shut off any suggestions my friend
Clean your throttle body as he has done in the posted video
4101. What's 10 months to you is like 11 seconds to me. I went down the list of comments and yours was best. So, did you fix your problem? My 2006 does everything mentioned... The ONLY difference...and it's a doozy, is that it runs fine during cooler weather. When the ambient goes over, say, 65 and the engine warms up.... it gets real cranky and hateful. Under that it purrs like a kitten.
Good video sr. Thank you it really help for me
Can you drop a link where you got the relay from
Are you ACDelco certified sir🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣😂
Mine won’t come out been doing it for 30 Mins
It was an audio video cause I didn’t see him doing anything at all, not helpful at all👎🏻
