We organized a tour in Fonte da Benémola with our volunteers. 22 people and 32 dogs enjoyed a 4km walk through nature and everyone, volunteers and dogs, had a great time!

Among the many requests for help we received, there was one that we could not remain indifferent to and that broke our hearts. Abandoned in the trash, in a state of extreme malnutrition and neglected, is about a year old and is the size of a three-month-old puppy. We named him Salvador ❤️

It makes my heart sing to know that there is such a beautiful, well organised , dedicated animal rescue in the Algarve. I founded and ran a dog rescue shelter in the Caribbean. Our challenges were similar but we never managed to gather together the volunteer manpower we needed. Bravo to everyone at ARA. Coming to the Algarvethis September. A visit to meet this family and their residents is now top of my list .

A well planned, well organized and well run animal shelter. Great location. Twenty-five dogs adopted out per month is an amazing success rate. The second-hand Wooff Shop is a great idea to bring in extra funds. I'm very glad to stumble upon your videos.
