USA Cycling Gravel Nationals Gering, Nebraska
This a time warp of most of the 131 mile Black course in Gering Nebraska. Not sure what happened to the last few miles of dirt. The camera did super well all day then I guess it got too hot? IDK . Either way, here's a majority of the course.

How to properly put on cycling bib shorts so that the grippers don’t bind and cause the fabric to stretch or tear. This works wit road suits and traditional shorts as well.
How to use a presta valve adapter

Step by step guide on how to use a presta valve adapter.
Dude. What age group did you ride? And most of your footage is you on your own? You going to tell me you spent the vast majority of the time doing a TT? Also did you fall at some stage? I heard it cost 329 to enter or something? Seems like USA cycling milking the event since road is dead! Anyways appreciate your upload and greet course. They should make an event out of it.
I rode single speed, yup, spent most of the day in No-man’s land. Once the leaders hit out I was wound out. I’ll bring a steeper gear. I was with smaller groups all day and just sorta leap frogged. I definitely needed a steeper gear in order to stay connected. I took the gear that I use for Kansas, but this course was flatter I could’ve taken a much bigger gear and avoided spinning out. That was my mistake.
Does cycling clear skin?
Please expand, what do you mean?

Or use a Brooks saddle. Saves on nappies!
cyclocross is mountain biking for roadies
Its grown adults playing in the mud and racing bikes
I still don't know.
I think it’s similar to fat biking

Thanks for being so cool calm and collective about it and for showing us kudos to you
When i add air with my home compressor i am not registering any pressure on the air gauge built into the air hose gun and the tire will not take enough air anyone know the reason for this? Thank you
Well i didnt know that
I use padded shorts, but they seem to cause me very bad chaffing. Should they fit tight in the groin area? When I ride in briefs I don't get that problem.
Do you ride with underwear? If so that's what is causing the chafing. You're not supposed to use cycling shorts/bibs with underwear on.
@@dawnification910 No underwear if I wear padded shorts.
@@sandykavor8434 get chamois butter
@@meme_enthusiast3021 Use real organic butter.
try to use compression shorts instead
And the most important thing, don’t wear underwear under the bibs
Really would have benefitted from a close-up view. Thanks anyway.
When using the adapter shown in this video and as instructed to then unscrew the adapter after inflating the tube the adapter unscrews and removes the valve stem releasing all air. This adapter does not work as shown.
If you’re experiencing that then the problem is with your valve and not the adapter. Use a valve tool to ensure that your valve is secure prior to start. Best of luck!!
Thanks!
Thank you need this for a manual wheel repair, there where no Schraders left
Perfect video. Exactly what I needed to know. Tx
Why in the ACTUAL FUCK do these stupid valves exist??? WTF!
You forgot one important step: Before attaching the adapter or pump, depress the valve to unseat it. If you don't chances are when you go to use your pump, no air will get past the valve.
Presta valves look cool, but I always question how practical they are.
They're kind of annoying if you've mostly got Shrader shit. My family does a lot of work on cars so going out and spending money on presta stuff when we've got a bunch of high end equipment for shrader valves has been irritating.
Thank you :-)
I still can’t get mine to work with my pump
In that case Steve, I would replace your pump with one that can accommodate a priests valve without using an adapter. I’d recommend the Specialized floor pumps. (Not sponsored or employed by spec) they have a reasonable price tag and a great warranty.
Thank you for that ..simple process but when your not sure its great to get the advice without any damage ...saves time too
Whats the point of a Presta valve
** it’s smaller in diameter so it fits better on narrow rims. Also since there’s no valve spring it has less resistance when pumping than Schrader valves.
Where's the beef?
Yah I'm looking forward also
Thanks! This helped!
Thank you
Thank you!!
NO. the adapters are too short they don't work. why not mention
Please add more context. Maybe the one you’ve elected to use is too short for your application. I’d reselect a different brand. The adapters can work well as clearly demonstrated in the video. Thank you for your comment.
@@PlayingBikes "CAN work well"
Michael cee yes, now you’re on the right track. If yours doesn’t work don’t blame the video. The video isn’t misleading. Change something about your set up because it’s directly related to any issues you may be experiencing. You have a few elements that need to work in concert together. 1. An adapter 2. A pump 3. A tube/valve. If one of those 3 is not working find out which one and change it. Then you’ll find that the video will guide you to successfully inflating your tires. If I can make a suggestion it would be to buy a pump that doesn’t require the use of an adapter. I’m sorry you’re having trouble and I hope this helps.

Thank you very much, you're a life saver!!!!!!
Thanks for the video it really help I need to no how to use it an u did step by step thank u very much for the video saved my life :)
Remember to maintain eye contact. This is why I always pound a shot of whiskey before attempting to fill my presto valve tires, I wanna have all the liquid courage I can. Go get em tiger.
Excellent Video. I bought a pack of adapters off eBay and wanted to see if I open the Presta Valve first and you covered it here.. tyvm :)
Thank You
I don't like the Presta Valve!
I like the storage tip!
Thanks for this video Jonathan!!
handsome man, thank you 😍😘
Thank you for creating this demo vid. No longer a struggle to get the air through the valve adapter!
Thanks for this, very helpful
Damn this is the go to guide for this and use them as caps - full 360 sweet *****
That was fun to watch. You are incredibly sexy.
When he said "and I'm in the shorts" I was thinking 'and I'd like to be in you' cyclists are so hot, so sexy indeed.
@Oh yeah yeah Whatever. Gays are now in the open. I don't have to do shit.
@@barefootinbriefs I'd love to help him put his shorts on and then take them off.
Thanks man!
It looks good aesthetically but that's too much. I like the regular version. I got my bike fixed and picked it up right? Dude didn't even tell me I NEEDED an adapter if I ever needed to pump it back up. Now I gotta catch the bus way over there to the shop since my local walmart doesn't hold the "Slime" pack. Omg , this advancement was unnecessary lol if you lose the adapter you're screwed, literally.
Did your bike originally come with a priests valve? If not take back to the shop and have them install the correct tube.
Nope they put it in themselves lol. And its not that easy. I have to work and that's the point of me having a bike. I have to catch the bus there on an off day. Lol. But I called and he said yes I just need an adapter. That's fine. I'll just buy one of those. No need for extra trips and money. Also, you know the little RED CONE SHAPED adapters that come with pumps? Aren't those adapters as well? I never knew until I searched it . I always thought they were just covers for the needle that came with the pump. Know what I'm talking about? Thanks.
Eric Powell the conical adapters are for inflatables like pool floats and beach balls.
tisk tisk lol. No need, I found out my regular pump BELL ACTION works for shrader AND presta valves, straight at walmart. So I bought another one since my old one was damaged somehow. But I'm good now. All I did was reverse the mechanic and was able to pump it without an adapter although it's still good to have one.
