The day I went by coincidence a senior Marine officer was having his retirement ceremony there. I got to speak with all the active duty Marine officers at the ceremony . I let them know my dad was a Marine and they gave him a RIP and Semper Fi it was awesome

I live right down the road from here. Went many times as a kid, then joined the infantry and served my 4 years, right after i got out one of my boots had to PCS here to guard the museum and i came to promote him to CPL as a civilian… Then got high with a manager in the parking lot, Semper Fi.

I visited this museum several years ago, very impressive. You should also try to visit the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach.

It's grown a little a bit since the last time I visited. Was very impressed and very proud. Not a day goes by that I don't think about my time in the Corps and whether it was the right choice to leave when I did. USMC 1985-1993, Semper Fi.

In August 2016, I was approached by an architectural firm from Denver, Colorado. They found me on the web because of my proximity to the museum. I am a commercial photographer in Woodbridge, VA. They wanted to know if I could handle photographing the medal of honor so that they could make a banner that would go behind the medal of ticket counter, which they designed. The poster was to be 8 feet (2.44 m) high by 28 feet (8.53 m) long. It seemed like such a big project at the time. And I was quite awestruck that I was asked to place a bid for this. I am right alongside of you about how the museum impressed you, and there was so much to see, and you couldn't show off the Medal of Honor Theater. You did a wonderful job of showing the museum to people, and I am sure it's going to be on everyone's “gotta see it list” for those coming to the Washington, DC, area. Just to let people know, this museum is in Triangle, VA. About 45 minutes south of DC. It's also near Prince William Forest Park, a great place to ride your bicycle, camp, hike, or get some quiet. As you can see from MrDingoDan, it is well worth the trip. Being that I was in the Marine Corps. That is Lt General Puller to you. I have been to that Museum twice. In full metal jacket it's this is my rifle this is my gun. Rifles and pistols. Maybe you aught to loose weight and then go into the Marine Corps like I did. I served 8 years. I loved it

Camp Pendleton also has very good museums, including a Armor and Vehicle Museum which is outstanding. Check out RUclips videos. I've visited these locations between 2023 and now. Will be at Camp Lejeune region next week, for 1 week. Semper Fi.
