Hello Reshma, it is not mandatory for parents' passport to be present at the time of applying for the child. Also, it is better to apply fot both mother and child. You both have to fill separate forms.

My birth certificate was given, where current spelling is different. An affedavit was filed 10 yrs before in PSK. I have applied for renewal now. For renewal now shall I have to make affidavit again. As adhar and pancard, driving licence is not a valid proof of birthdate

Hi Ashutosh, you need to carry pan card and aadhar card along with printout of each as you have mentioned that in form. Also, the expired passport. The police generally calls and informs what documents you need to carry. If anything has changed in your passport in the past three years you need to carry a proof of that as well. For example, if your current address has changed, you will carry a proof of that address. If you are now married and have mentioned your spouse in the passport, you might have to carry a copy of marriage certificate for police verification. This is not needed at the PSK though.

If you chose present address as Pune, the whole process will be done in Pune. And your permamnent address will stay as that of Bihar. Police verification mostly will happen only in pune, if there is no change in permanent address, but in rare cases it also happens in both locations.

Yes you can do that. Since you havent scheduled any appointment there will be no issue. Only catch is if you try submitting with the same email id, it might prompt that the application already exists. In that case you can use a different email id.

Hi! 10th class pass certificate will do for Non ECR proof. You need not carry graduation certificates. For the forms and documents, its safer to carry both with you. Usually the SMS with appointment date and time is sufficient for a appointment proof. The application form must be carried however.

If your permanent address has not changed and only present address is changing, police verification will happen mostly only on current addresd. But if your permanent address is also changing, the verification could happen in both the places.

All the documents that you chose in your form are needed for renewal. For ecample, if as address proof you chose aadhar card, or drivers licence, it will be required. Similarly proof of birth.

Jaisa ki video mein btaaya hai, agar aap pehla passport kahin aur se bnwaaye hai aur aapko naye jagah pe bnwaanaa hai to aap registration fir se kriye us address k saath jahan aapko naya passport bnwaana hai. Sab kuch us naye address pe ho jayega.

Yes renwals mein police verification is needed only if aapk passport mein koi signigicant change hai, jaise address change, marrital status etc.

Yes you can do so. Infact that is what we did. Add your bangalore location in present address. The address proof can be anything from rental agreement, electricity bill, gas bill, drivers licence, aadhar card etc. Police verification will happen in Bangalore in that case. But in rare cases they also visit the permanent address.

Yes you have to select current address different than permanent address. Also, police verificarion will happen at your current address mostly, unless your permanent address also changes. But in rare cases it can happen in both the places. It did not happen for us though.

No it is mot mandatory to take the printout of the form. But it is convinient. Also, most psk hasve a printout center so if you miss anything, you can always get it printed there.

Yes you can renew your passport without adding your spouse's name. However, it is advisable to get your passport updated with your spouse's name to avoid any compliance issue in future. Most of the passport seva kendra do not ask for marriage certificate. It might be required during police verification though but is not mandatory!
