I love the fact I've seen this. I also live in Nuneaton and I'm 35 was born here and apart from the haters and trolls on social media who always just have Negative things too say about the town that they live in. I've loved growing up here and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

What a lovely day for it. Monks Kirby is lovely, I 'collect' war memorials and always take time to look around these small villages and their churches, often they're off the normal beaten track with no other reason to visit. Thanks.

I found your videos today while trying to find info. on the Hinckley to Hartshill sewage scheme. They're brilliant ,I have watched loads.I have liked and subscribed which is something iI don't often do.I wonder if the new sewage pipe which bypasses the Sketchley brook and hence the Anker through Nuneaton will reduce flooding as well as improving water quality.

USED to live neaarby and work in Nuneaton.... you cant polish a turd ! used to love that old co op store, Facade is lovely, never looked up to see that. Empty hotel because I presume only there for storing new labour/debt producers from Calais...... talented students............looks like pension funds are trying to turn invested money (peoples labour) into grey empty retail warehouses, which if there is a big crash will just equal no money in pension payouts.

As a former Christian, it took me many years to realise how the Bible (or rather mistranslations of key words) and the subsequent manmade Christian doctrines developed over the centuries, warp the truth of a God of Love who is All. Love does not consign anyone or thing to an eternity of suffering. We are all born with faulty genetics or other unseen influences and add to that our environments and family situations. We all 'sin' or act out of harmony to love and truth. God through 'Christ' is bringing healing/harmony to all creation. That might take millenia to bring about but we will ALL be freed from the harmful effects of this material universe. No one will be left behind. We are all part of the same One so it is impossible for anyone to not be part of this great journey. ❤

An interesting video and topic John. If you decide to do an occasional zoom session at some point I might be interested. So many of us react in a certain way to even the word 'religion' but even though I'm not personally religious, I have to be mindful andcrespectful that many people are. It's easy to say if there is a God who does he let wars happen? God gave man free will but sadly this free will is often abused. It isnt God that starts a war, it is man. Even if that war centres on a religious belief over another one, it is still man abusing his will. I describe nyself as being Spiritual rather than Religious and there are many differences. My belief is that there is something 'out there' far greater than 'me', a 'Power' a 'Force' that if im willing to believe in it, it will guide me. Its funny how those of us who are not religious denounce the word God, and yet without exception i bet everyone has said, often when in a mess or when troubled "God help me" or perhaps when wondering how we found our way to somewhere unfamiliar we've said "God knows how I got there" Perhaps theres a God (or a Higher Power) within us all. We just need to tap into it 👍

Massive thanks for the Video. I went round in the morning to look at flooding and the sewage problems. The improvement since last year has been the surface water problems by St James Church. After a lot of investigations, site visits and a public meeting we had County Council pay for blockages and misaligned sewer pipe to be sorted under a nearby garden.

I am guessing this has nothing to do with all the new houses being built around Weddington🤔🤨

Last time it was that bad, I had a lot of fun riding my mountain bike through all of the flood water in Sandon. Shame I missed it this year! Cheers John

The weather is bad BUT this is all being caused by excessive building on cheap / low laying land,protecting it from flooding and then pushing the water problem on to someone else. It wasn't called flooding years ago, the the water was retained within the low laying land. It's now called flooding because it's invading what man has taken over. We never paid attention to it 40 years ago.
