Jaco Pastorius - Portrait of Tracy (Bass Cover)
Просмотров 1432 года назад
Me playing Jaco's masterpiece Portrait of Tracy. I normally hate uploading videos with my face on them or stuff of my own but I am pretty proud of the progress I have made with the electric bass and the work I did on practising this song at least once a day for the past 2-3 months until I finally got it. Also because of what Jaco's work and philosophy towards musicianship means to me. I recorde...

Legendary.
KOOL KEITH #1 producer…. Dr. Octogon #1
John Maus is the guy in the IT department that gives a real vague answer when you ask him what he gets up to on the weekends.
Intriguing ecclectic mix of smiths morrisey, the cure, Ian Curtis from joy division, serge from kasabian,? …Anyone come up with another mix of their own ? 😎
No es la "canción Tango" es Portrait of Tracy, de Jaco Pastorius.
que yo sepa se llama Tango esta composición de Pedro, puede tener algunas frases de Portrait of Tracy pero no es la misma canción
You think his music is fun, watch a few interviews. The day I start feeling like I am "getting inside his head", so to speak, is the day I am heading to the hospital.
Fellow CalArts family member. Glorious.
where is the video from?
it's an extract from daft punk's unchained doc

I feel like he made this in the winter, it just holds so much feeling of the expanse of the freezing cold, coupled with the potential for what's to come. It's hopeful but tragic and empty yet full. Somehow it makes me want to run in the dead of a snowstorm
Most beautiful video on RUclips.
Anyone else here also looking forward to seeing John live in Dublin this September? I still can't believe I'll finally see/hear him live, it's like a fecking dream
i'm catching him live in Barcelona during october... extremely excited to see him again. i'm thinking of gifting him a Bach CD.
51 minutes of autistic stimming as the "Ereignis" of a counter-spectacle in an attempt to deconstruct the spectacle of capitalism: who knew it would be this great to watch?
fua loco que bestia que es pedro
feels like every song he performs still haunts him, amazing.
I've never seen him live and hope I can, but what I love about his shows is that it seems like a guy who brought his own songs on a usb to a local karaoke night and sings his guts out for his own personal catharsis
Never delete this please
Never will
black, white or japanese: this guy rocks
god
Definitely go see his show if you can
There will never be another genius like John Maus on our planet again. I'm so happy I'm able to witness this in my lifetime.
the first 40 seconds really speak to me, i can't explain it
i love how everyone who's seen him live all have the same experience, he's 1000% the whole time non-stop POWER. greatest performer ive ever seen hands down. Powerful powerful powerful powerful
this video is an artifact
I just found this guy a week ago and I'm spellbound, amazing
killed it!! awesome, perfect tone, played it really greatly, loved it ;))
God bless John Maus. You're one of the few artists that I connect with in this world.

This is the best karaoke ever
I know I said it before but thank you so much for posting this whoever you are !
This song helps cure people's sex addictions.
I watch this daily, from beginning to end. I'm not kidding. This is my favorite live performance of all time. And it's just a man with his backing track. But it's so real and so visceral, so cathartic and so fitting for my reality. Thanks John Maus, nothing matters when I listen to this performance, I wish I could witness it live.
I am there with you brother!
You not alone my friend
Go see him live next time he performs. You will have that opportunity.
same here
Whenever I see him live I want to cry. I feel alone in the world. It reminds me of my own experience on stage, especially the improv related things I’ve done.
Came here for and Heaven Turned to Her Weeping. Love
Sound is great! Thanks for posting!
This Going to be Abit Bizarre however When Iwas locked up For Being Incarcerated for fighting Very Shitty Powertripping Cops i got arrested on My Porch. So 2 years Later Still , Innocent Mind You Im Still Bumping My Sounds Prepared Forever More, You Are Still Here With ME. Amen. KIng1 Survival

Do we have legs to run or yo walk?
head banging causes cte
I love his energy, it must be so cathartic to perform like he does. Wish he did a live album, his screaming vocals fit his songs really well... I love the studio version, but the live performances have an extra liberating wrath that I really like.
Awesome music 9/10, great singing8/10, poor chicken-movements performance 3/10.
Just one of the absolute greatest performances I've ever seen. I saw him twice that same year, at primavera and roskilde fest, roskilde i believe was Joe's last performance as John's bassist. Both times were extremely cathartic for me, but this performance is something else. Seeing him all alone on that vast stage performing his guts out is just so so revelatory. I don't care about many artists beyond their musical output, but i really hope John is doing good these days, he has given us so much.
Trump… hahahha
If real max out
one of my favorite arthur songs. perfect visuals thank you. so good

his rendition of 'hey moon' makes me want cry
