In this video, I’m making Farari Kheer using cassava, coconut milk, sugar, and fennel seeds (known as variyali in Gujarati). Cassava, known as mogo in East Africa or mandioca in Portuguese-speaking regions, is a starchy root vegetable used in many parts of the world. It is naturally gluten-free and is often made into a flour (gari), which can be used in various recipes. In this recipe, cassava adds a unique texture to the kheer, absorbing the rich flavours of coconut milk and fennel seeds.
