In the last 3 years I have reffered to this video at least 10 times. Each time I have a doubt I search it. No unnecessary pulling on, straight and simple way to explain. Excellent. I wish othere learn from this video, how a crisp work can be this much effective.

I read through one of nikons manuals on the z6ii and it says it has the mpeg4 video codect, does anyone know how to enable it?

Good video. Very informative. :-) Quick question. Why can't I turn on image stabilizer? Using exactly the same settings as you show here.

So, a decent video; but is misleading to call it a video settings for beginners. I think you need to get more basic if you want to say it is for beginners. This to me was more intermediate and I agree with one person who commented it would have been good if you did some settings and then showed examples of what those settings achieved.

Can i change shutter lower 25 s?

I would prefer if it you told us what you want to achieve, and then show us how to do it.

Yes it would be good if you told us what sort of video you are settign up for. You cannot cover every situation in one video

I am looking for a small travel tripod which i can just stick in my bag what out 'n about. This is a very popular tripod, but the MT-44 which looks to be much better is actually cheaper .. I'm just wondering why. Is there something about it that I am not seeing

I decided to try one. I have a Z8 and Zf, and the SmallRig website says the new versions of this battery will now (since November) work with the Zf. I first contacted SmartRig and asked how I know if a battery at B&H is the old version that doesn't work with the Zf, or the updated version that does. They told me to contact B&H, which I interpreted to mean that there is no way to tell by looking at the battery. I then contacted B&H and they had no clue. They said as far as they know, there is only one version and it's not compatible with the Zf. So, I guess I'm not that happy with SmallRig for their non-answer. And, seems the only way to know is to buy one and return it if it doesn't work. I could, of course, just buy from SmallRig, but they will charge me tax and shipping, which B&H does not.

Just did a shoot today and saw that the 4k 60 does crop into a DX mode. To get that fixed, just move your quality over to 1080p if you're uploading to RUclips. Otherwise, if you're using a 14-24 or 14-30 lens, you're in effect getting a 21-36 or 21-45 on your z6/z6ii

I was using third party aftermarket batteries in one of my Nikon cameras and Nikon batteries in my other Nikon camera in below freezing temperatures and the Nikon camera with the third party batteries stopped working after about 15 minutes in the below freezing temperatures while the Nikon camera with the Nikon batteries had no problems functioning in below freezing temperatures.

How is the z6 for real estate VIDEO? Do you shoot RE video in 10bit via an external recorder? Or the in body 8 bit?

Your video is extremely helpful. I understand you do your settings in the Manual (M) mode. What about the Speed (S) mode? In the Speed mode, I am unable to change the shutter speed. At 24 fps, the shutter speed is stuck at 1/30 and at 60fps, it is set at 1/60. I am unable to double the speed to follow the 180 degrees rule. Why is it not possible to change the shutter speed in videos as it is the case with photos? I am curious. Also, what is the difference between the Norm and High in the movie quality setting? Thanks

Absolutely helpful! I wish there were more videos like this on RUclips from camera reviewers. BTW I would like to know what is the lowest shutter speed setting that camera offers in M mode at 1080/25p , 2160/25p and 2160/50p respectively. In short does it allow slow shutter during movies recording? Thanks!

Thanks for the Video.... Switching from DX and FX mode (Select image area) is only possible if you have a full frame lens mounted to your Z6 II. Is that correct?

But you didn’t explain how to actually shoot a video. Just the settings…
