I have a glass stovetop too. I have never canned anything, but I want to start. I wanted to start with this steamer, but I thought I couldn't use that steamer bc of the "coil" like design on the bottom of the steamer, which doesn't allow the bottom to be completely flat and it needs be for my type of stove top. That would be so great for me if I was wrong. 😁Please tell me if I'm wrong. Thank you.

My repairman told me the 3 size adjustable burner was specifically for large pots and can be used for canning. Of course I have used it for water bath and pressure canning as well as fruit saver steam canner. How ever, I have heard of some stovetops that are glass cracking from the canner weight and extreme heat, soooo, I guess the only suggestion I can make is that you read your stoves manual and follow it's guidelines. Or call customer service for your brand. Mine is a KitchenAid and the only flat bottom pan I have is the pressure canner. But, I would not wanna tell you you are wrong and have something happen to your stove. It's a risk, and I know that so if I screwed up my stove, that's one thing...it's up to you to use it or not, after you find out more about your stove. Best of luck to you, and thank you for watching💕

Thank you! Yeah this is more of a store taste. no spice bag to hang, no sweetener. I think this is the absolute best ketchup I've ever canned. Seriously! The roaster helped the taste and time was quicker to cook down!💕
