60k through the desert. Tried to learn from my mistakes in the last race and staid hidden for around 50k. I was refreshed enough to plan an attack with another rider but the group was too strong and there was a headwind, so no chance to get away. But the sprint tactics worked like a charm. This was part 2 of the Aster Pharmacy BIG 5 a serious of build up rides/races that lead up to the main event Spinneys 92 Cycle Challenge in February 2025. Crazy descent on a paved road through the woords, Ommerborn Open Air Altar to Delling (HDR)

This descent starts at the Ommerborn Open Air Altar and takes you down a very narrow street through the woods and past some farms straight to Delling. Very technical segment.

This road is pretty popular amongst motor bikers, which is probably why they introduced speed limits down to 30kmh. Also tons of warning signs ontop of the lane marking to prevent people from cutting the curves. Lots of fun to descent here.

I recently climbed this segment and immediately thought that this might be an amazing descent as well. Turned out to be a bit too steep to really go for it ;)

On the way from Odenthal to Bergisch Gladbach there was a tractor pulling a trailer with a few people partying in it. A good opportunity to be drafting uphill ;)

This is one of the most famous short climbs in the region. And also a great descent. Some very sharp bends and a great view of the Altenberg cathedral.

There used to be a disused railroad line here called the Sülztalbahn, which was then converted into a cycle and footpath. It's part of a greater project of tracks called Agger Sülz. This shows the descent from Lindlar. On sunny weekends this is usually more crowded. I guess the cold weather kept the people away. Good for me ;)

This is a very nice descent to Breun, following the L284 from Wipperfürth. Some technical bends, but also enough straight parts to gain some speed. The headwind was quite strong today and came in gusts. Also the first leaves are now lying on the road. Two good reasons to slow down a little. Still a lot of fun.

I love the overlay, also camera very well positioned, I have to start also to record with the chest mount
I filmed this with the Insta Go 3S. I always wear the magnetic pendant under my jersey and carry the Go 3S with the Easy Clip (to adjust the angle) in my backpocket. Even in races. It weighs practically nothing and stays invisible until you need it. Whenever something worth filming comes up I grab it from my pocket, snap it on and hit record. The only disadvantage is that the battery only lasts just under 30 minutes. On longer rides I mount the action pod to the back of my saddle so I can recharge if necessary

Software is called Telemetry Overlay. Very good tool.

Kennst du die Referenznummer dieser Straßen (Also Landesstraße oder Kreisstraße?) oder den Namen der Straße? Wäre sehr dankbar. Habe diese Straße verpasst, war aber auf der Landesstraße 101 bis Odenthal gefahren.
