Placed my first order Sept 1. Setup an account and entered my banking info through plaid on the SD site. Made a purchase. Received a call today that my payment did not go through. They asked that I send a screen shot of my bank account # or send them a picture of a void check or send a wire transfer or check. I asked what the issue was setting up the ACH with my checking account. She replied that it happens with credit unions. I asked to cancel my order and paid the $35 cancellation fee. Funny thing is I made an order the same day at JM and they used plaid to set up my account and my payment went through. What SD did seemed kind of fishy to me and I don't plan on doing business with them in the future.

so.. that's how they pack it? in a clear package?

SD Bullion - I’ve ordered from them 5 times Most recent made Oct 9, 2023. Oct 16. Payment Received. “Please allow 3-5 business days for your check to clear our account.” Oct 17. Check posted to my bank account. Oct 26. “Your order has been packaged and is awaiting pickup by the courier.” What happened to the 3-5 business days? Oct 30. Actually put in the mail. I think SD is the only one slower than Bold. Over the past five years, JM, Hero and Great Lakes Coin (Mentor OH) consistently deliver great service. For me, Great Lakes is my preferred source because they are small enough to form a relationship with.

Great product good price but their customer service sucks. Apmex is more expensive, but the user experience is way more professional

I wish SD Bullion would just ship my order. Spent $300, paid extra for shipping, they told me my order shipped but it did not. It says awaiting package. Shipping label was only created,they didnt ship anything

NEVER again! I don't know where to start with telling my story. I'll just sum it up by saying the CSR lied about everything regarding payment processing, packaging and shipping. I'll never again buy from these scammers. A friend and I that are both regular APMEX customers and we decided at the same time to give SD Bullion a try because of the better price. I did a bank wire and FedEx because according to the CSR it guaranteed me the faster way to get my metals. My friend did eCheck and regular mail. My bank wire took 2 days to clear while my friends eCheck cleared the same day. My order took 2 days to get processed for FedEx shipping. My friends order was in the USPS mail the following day. My friends package was delivered on Saturday. I have to wait until Monday evening to receive my package. SD Bullion puts so many restrictions on FedEx that you can do nothing but wait. I have a FedEx premium subscription yet I can not set up an appointment time, pick up at a distribution center, send to another address or do any special instructions. SD Bullion as the shipper has placed so many restrictions on FedEx that it makes it impossible to work with FedEx to ensure the faster and most secure delivery. And worst of all, SD Bullion has a specific type of delivery service through FedEx that actually makes it slower than regular mail. I will never again deal with the SD Bullion a-holes no matter how much better the prices. APMEX keeps you informed every step. APMEX wastes jo time and your metals are nevermleft just sitting on a cart for days at a time doing nothing while. APMEX offers the best shipping options and gets the metals delivered fast and secure. SD Bullion is a pathetic joke. NEVER again!

Have you noticed that the 1/10 oz. American Eagles are .9167% purity, while the corresponding Canadian Maple is .995% purity? Why is American gold less pure yet higher in cost, your kind of getting ripped off.

Stacking a full Air Tite tube of 1/10 ounce coins was the most fun I've had stacking gold. I think it's great that you started a tube- have fun with it!

Buy what you can, when you can. Fractional gold is better than no gold, and you’ve got a great gold stack going there!

I started a 25 coin tube of 1/10th eagles when gold was $1300. By the time I'd got 12 gold was over 2k, so I flipped the lot. I kept that money and as gold dropped back I bought 1/4 & 1/2oz gold with it.

Yeah, you pay a higher premium for tenths, but you get most of it back when sell. Lofty goals, but hey go big or go home 🇺🇸

1000% agree on your perspective! Buying silver and gold is a SUPER fun way to save! It's actually "tricks" me into saving - haha! For example, I'm a grown-ass man, and actually mow my neighbor's lawn for $30 every two weeks. I've done that for over a year, and I turn each lawn mow into a silver round! So, keep it up! Everyone's pace is personal...we should only compare ourselves to ourselves!

I don't buy everything from them, but I started out buying from them because I felt I could trust them! 😎It's great you could get 5 oz. at spot price. I don't think any other company is offering that! BTW... I love the Liberty Bell, so you got a great silver bar there!

Great review, bud! I’m not generally a fan of theirs due to pricing, but my few experiences with them have been fine.

I got the at spot price deal back in 2019. The 5 oz pressed bar they sent looked like they used it as a hockey puck before shipping it to me. They're becoming the next APMEX with their high prices, never again for me! Good to see you back!

SD definitely used to have the lowest, but Monument Metals seems to have taken that title. I like SD bullion, I’ve bought plenty from them and I have always had a positive experience. Nice pickup on that bar, it’s a nice design. I’d definitely take it out of the bag, but that’s just me…I like to hold my metals raw handed 😂

Oh... and I say take it out of the bag, set it in a window sill and see what happens in about a year. See if it tones any
