Auto-shutoff IBC Lid for easy nutrient dosing for a wicking hydroponic system
Come check out a new creation I made to refill my 1000L IBC reservoir that helps make calculations of nutrients much easier and more accurate!

How To Build: Multi Channel Hydroponics Rain Gutter Grow System with Float Box
Просмотров 4,4 тыс.Год назад
D shows how to build and set up his take on a Rain Gutter Grow System (RGGS) using a float box to control multiple channels. Inspired by @Hoocho for the build itself and also the video style. If you need more information on the general RGGS build I'd highly reccomend Hoocho's videos. If you're asking did I choose my channel name as a bit of a tribute/tongue in cheek moment, yes I did. Quick look at the current state of my hydroponic system.

Sorry this was shot very quickly and poorly on my phone at night but it's a quick look at my NFT hydroponics build using concepts from Hoochos aka the Hoochos clone. I hope to bring more and better quality videos if this is content people are interested in.
Marshmallow Gun with Rapid fire.
Просмотров 336 тыс.17 лет назад
Polarbear makes a mini marshmallow gun from pvc that can fire at a rapid rate. This has nothing to do with the new brotherhood 2.0 video but I can't watch the video on this slow dial-up and I am not going to upload a video with this dial-up either. This was shot in Rockhampton Australia.
awsome work mate . keep it up. keep the updates coming
What happens when it rains? Will the buckets overflow with water?
@@teddyngwenya if there was a lot of rain you might get water running through the buckets and back into the rails. I can unscrew the far end of the rail to drain if needs be.
Can you put links to the products?
Great video. One thing I am always surprised about is that in all the hydroponics builds of the rain gutter grow system pioneered by Larry Hall, that nobody uses the grow bags that Larry recommended. Why didn't you use cloth bags instead of buckets and totes?
For hydroponic growing I've seen cloth bags accumulate excess algae on the outside because they are permeable and I wanted to avoid that. Dirt growing with water in the rails you'd be fine with cloth bags for sure!
Update?
Is the water used nutrient enriched or plain tap water?
I use Yara Ferticare hydroponic nutrients
So do you check the ph and ec levels? If so which instruments do use?
@@h10aus generally I'll check what's in my main reservoir though you can check the float box as well if you wanted. I have a generic truncheon style ec meter and just a cheap eBay pH meter
How does this system ensures that the water from the float box does not overfill the rain gutter channels?
The float box and rails match the same level. As long as the rails aren't lower than the float box level it can't overflow.
Hope when you do your update video you are able to show a sideview of your levels and hoses etc... cheers mate
Do you have a link to the float pet, etc? I’m not seeing it.
Hey, I don't have a specific link but I searched grey DN20 float on aliexpress
Saving this for when I move out of an apartment and into an actual house
Big Dog Approves! Keep at it! 🍅🍓🍍🥦🥬
Oh man I love that Citrus painting too...
Ooooooo Happy Hydroponicing... Dunno if that's allowed... ....Jk hahahhaha Happy hydroponicing my friend. Those Cucumbers are going Cucurbits.
@@Hoocho I'm getting yellowing of the leaves currently and had to fight off a huge caterpillar infestation. Luckily the caterpillars are all gone and I've got pot nitrate which I hope will sort the yellowing.
Love it - great work and the float box addition looks good. Do you think you could get away with making it smaller - say only a 5L bucket or similar?
Yes you could use whatever size containers you'd like really. I'd suggest something made from food safe plastic though.
Looks good bud, how long have you had the light for and dose it do a good enough job for the plants. Also if you wanted you could just use plumbing tape instead of silicone so that you can take off the cap when the roots get too big
hello
are you still alive
Desiree Burdette yup
5:57 American accent?
Owen Walsh annoyed at the marshmallow and speaking to it in a funny way
Darryl Lee So you think Americans talk funny HUH?! JK, liked the video.
Although this design looks cool it is terribly ineffective. The added stock greatly reduces the pressure behind the marshmallow. At the very least the lower tube should be sealed.
priestofmegatallica From memory it actually was.
There seems to be one problem, on the loading of the magazine, the weight of the marshmellows in the magazine causes 1 and 1/2 marshmellows to load in the chamber. forcing excessive pressure to be used, or a Jam. If it was not for the initial jam effect it would be a great addition to any shooter. Ps. the magazine is removable, it could get lost, making the gun.unable to fire.
that pretty cool gum
this is kuk
what the hell is a centimeter??? USA! USA!
Do you realise that the ONLY places that don't use metric are the USA, Myanmar and Liberia? And of those 3 Myanmar and Liberia are already taking steps towards adopting metric.
I hear ya man, I remember when I was a kid they tried it here but ppl just didn't want any part of it, its crazy, that's why I made the sarcastic comment
