What about a window that goes to grade level. I've used silicone around every crack and gap trim to glass. And the trim to brick I used quad. Elastomeric sealant. And it's still leaking inside at the base of the window. Especially in the center and corners on either side of the window. Water pools in these areas but mostly in the center. But you can see moisture all across the base of the window. Is it possible for the exterior concrete slab to be wicking that much water up and into the floor inside the building. Or should I redo the caulking thinking maybe I missed something on the first attempt. Thanks.

When installed correctly, quality urethane is good for 20+ years. Silicone is good for 30 years. Only a stupid fuck thinks urethane is only good for 10 years. As a true professional caulker we often are required to give 20 year guarantees. All quality urethane manufacturers offer this. But you have to be a reputable installer with strict installation restrictions. You obviously are not one of those reputable installers and your total misunderstanding of the products demonstrates why I have very conservatively installed over 100 MILES of sealant. Much if this was installed with a 20 year guarantee. Both urethane and silicone.

So just curios...wouldn't this increase moisture content and condensation on the inside ? Now that the weep holes no longer allow moisture through ?

Was this a J series Lymtal Intl EJ?
