Daniel already mentioned that he can make similar sound or music same as silverchair, but he won't, because he's over it. This is a natural course with musicians, finding out new sounds. Because the previous template is easy and won't give them a sense of fulfilment

Daniel is just a whinger! Oh, poor little me, I don't want to be only known for Silverchair...... Everything outside of Silverchair Daniel has done plain and simply sucks (except the dissociatives). Their success was, those three together and creating was Silverchair.

I think that Daniel outside of silverchair sucks and he needs to get over himself and accept what got him to where he is.. it wasn’t just him getting to the top he contributed vocals an guitar an song writing which is the majority but it was two more people that are is friends like most bands I’m a guy who played and are lives took us different directions but we are all friends still today I don’t believe Daniel realizes how lucky he is when me and my group of friends would trade that with him any day

Daniel just probably needs to have his own identity for once in his life. I say let him do him and change is unavoidable... that’s the way it goes. the solo stuff is not only interesting: it is very good. There is more beyond rock and grunge.

Most great bands go through an amazing purple patch, usually in the 20's. For me, neon ballroom and diorama was that. Fantastic albums. Be very hard to top that. Sometimes its best to go out on top.

Ya this was a meet and greet and there was more to this video. It was just a fan excited to meet Bam like I was 2 months ago. And kid allowed bam to do it and bam told kid what to say. Afterwards they both laughed and hugged. He'll I wish I asked him to do it but my kids told me no. People r putting up old ass videos claiming bam just did this and blah blah. All the haters r hating cuz bam is doing so well. And they wanna start shit and b famous. Sorry but bam is on the right path and being with Danni, she's the best for him.

Yeah Dan has been pretty sick and he's stated he wouldn't do Silverchair again with a gun pointed to his head. People needs to know that will never happen. I sure wish it could but it won't. And now after all the health issues with Chris, could they physically do that again?? Even if Dan wanted to, that would still be risky business with Chris's health. So we have their music and love em, so pop in some of the favs and rock on! Me personally. ..I'll remember them from the Freak show era. Mighty full of bangers! Lol.

The current state of Guns N’ Roses is why I *wouldn’t* want Silverchair to reunite. You reach a certain age, you just can’t sing or play like you used to. Best to leave it alone rather than become self-parody.

I wish they would just settle it. I hope dan understands that he doesn't have a lifetime being mad at the two, especially with Chris' health scare...2 issues that could of taken his life. We know all 3 can be in the same room....as Dan attended chris' 40th birthday party. Atleast give the band and fans closure

Honestly, the "Love and pain" is a great read. I figured chris and ben would make dan look bad. There was seriously nothing but praise and concerned. You feel the love they had for eachother .

All things considered he’s lucky to be alive. Being the biggest rock band on the planet at 15 years old. Just imagine how that would affect someone psychologically and clearly it did. I don’t blame him whatsoever for ending Silverchair. I do feel bad for Ben and Chris cause they’ve left untold millions on the table. They basically retired at 32 and could have played for another 30 years. Like green day and foo fighters are still going at like 60. But it is what it is. They’re still only 44. I believe they’ll at least reconcile at some point, if not get back together. Hard to believe someone who wrote all those amazing rock albums would turn away from the genre entirely for the rest of their life. It’s even kind of hard to believe Ben and Dan even like the music they’ve made post Silverchair. It’s like they’re trying to put on a persona or be contrary just for the sake of it.

Yah...I still think the 90's was the best for alternative rock. Love all albums up to Adore, I own multiple AFH box sets. I can safely say that any new album that comes out...I haven't even heard it. Favourite rock band, and yet I haven't listened to a new pumpkins track in over a decade. Their music just isn't for me anymore. Sounds drowned out, less musicianship, more editing, Christian and political beliefs are starting to creep in...music sounds saturated and boring.

I really wish they went into the metal scene, rather than the sappy indie stuff. I really envisioned Daniel to put on some bulk, get some angst and showcase some of his strong masculinity driven creativity. What we get instead is the opposite of this sadly. AS a lad coming of age, Silverchair were what we all aspired to be like, they helped us get into music and play some band instruments etc. It looked like they were going to head down the heavier misical direction and we'd be seeing them play along side other bands like fear factory, bullet for my valentine, or even the like sof slipknot or mudvayne, but honestly they fell short in my book to that expectation. In any case, we'll always have Frogstomp; an album that I can comeback to and imagine alternate universes where they did not choose the destiny they did but one where they could reach their full potential and cement them in the same vein as other past Aussie rock bands like ACDC, Parkway drive, the Amity Affliction or Northlane. I get the same feeling thinking on what became of silverchair as I do when I think about Heath Ledger from an Australian perspective. There is a disconnect to what I imagine should have been, over what has become. Contrarily, I love what Sunk Loto are doing now... this is what I wish Silverchair would try.

Daniel makes music for gay bars

I've been recently catching up on the life of Daniel johns. It's interesting he says his mental illness is just anxiety. As a fellow mental patient, he displays a lot of the same weird ticks & quirks as me & other people with mental illnesses. Im not in any position to diagnose but ive also gone through life telling people i only have anxiety cuz thats the only acceptable thing to have currently. Also, by rehab does he mean in a psych hospital? Cuz we all lie about that as well, but he talks about clear symptoms of psychosis, and it might might just be a rich peron thing, but rehab isnt where ur wheeling ur bags into when u cant tell whats real anymore. A lot of what he talks about, sounds like the psychosis highs & su1cidal lows of bipolar, with a mix in of cptsd & anxiety. He talks, dresses and acts like a lot of people i know who are constant inpatients, but hes got more cash so pulls together and "eccentric artist" vibe instead of "mental health patient vibe" like the rest of us with no cash and no talent. I could be wrong, but if i was to ever be an inpatient in the same facility, i cant say id be shocked.
