I am confused if the total mortg id 2400 smth and he cover 1700. That doesnt leave 300 bucks to cover but 700. And yeah sorry. 5050 is not always the right thing to do same for bills. It should be proportionate to income. If one partner makes 2000 and the other one 1000. Ofc the one making more has to pay 2/3 of mortg and bills. Please stand on this. It is not ok to pay 50 percent in such cases. All of us should calculate what the percentages should be for our unique situations.
