I thought it was a cool idea for Gina to die, but that should have been shown in Decay, which explains why she didn't appear in Half-Life 2. Although Adrian Shepherd didn't appear either, there were chapters discarded about the character, as for Gina, absolutely nothing is known about her.

Earlier I thought opposing force, blue shift and decay were concepts and scripts made by valve during their brainstorming in early stages of half life and wanted to make it themselves but were busy with half life 2 and commissioned gearbox to make it. Nonetheless, I was dissapointed it was not the case, as it means Adrian and Colette were never supposed to return. Which is a real shame it would be nice to see them back in Half life 2 with Gordon either doing their own thing, going againts him or helping Gordon directly or indirectly.

As someone who played Decay with my sister, its so much more sad to see Gina is just dead in Opposing Force. Not knowing what the hell happened that lead her there. And yes, Randy confirmed that it was her dead body.

i love when games has elements of crossovers like these few games come to my mind such as The Getaway (and Black Monday), Call of Duty (certain missions from some editions have story shown from multiple PoVs) Is there a list of all games that have those crossover elements?
