Estou acompanhando daqui de Votorantim -SP Brasil 😊
is that Greg? ruclips.net/video/Mm-vCBG4q3M/видео.html
hahaha!
Evokes the low-slung river boats I'm familiar with on the Amazon and it's tributaries, or what I've seen pictured in Asia. So practical and versatile. What a great way to adventure with your kids!
no head or galley, really is ca,ping on a boat
Love the adventurous spirit. Keep up the great work!
You really should get rid of that invasive bamboo growing on your property. It's a crime against nature!
what invasive bamboo?
Phill bolger would be proud
Thanks for the video! Is there shore camping on the lake?
Hello! Yes you can camp on shore and there is a nice campground. Thanks for watching!
Congratulations! Vasile from Votorantim -SP Brazil
Thats a canoe.
put a starlink on top and you're set!
Drone shots of this thing slicing through water is the visual ASMR I needed. 🙌🙌
🔥 That thing is rad!
Cool vid Thanks!
Very spectacular! I admit that with your versatile long boat you go to many places. Vasile Nélson Korch from Brazil. I am modeling myself on you and renovating my small boat Maré Mansa Home
Very cool. Publish a video about it!
Congratulations! You are very happy. I am watching several videos of you and your boat, which is long and therefore sails faster. I am also making my own small boat, Maré Mansa Home
Thank you very much!
Thank you very much!
Excellent video and it looked like a lovely trip. You hit a couple of my favorite spots which I didn't get to last summer, so it was great to have a virtual visit. Thanks!
Glad you liked it Gary!
Makes me so ready for boating season again!
Hell yeah doggies!
What a great way to finish out 2024,,, fantastic video!!
Thanks! Glad you liked it.
Phil would be very happy to see you guys
That's so wonderful to hear. Thank you.
uhmm I will give you that I 90 is the longest Interstate, but US 20 is the longest Highway at 3,365 miles Newport Oregon to Boston
Incredible. Was that from memory?
loooooooooose music ,
reeer, I'm new to editing, GOL.
Looks like a death trap. Careful not to spring a leak.
Hahahah, already had leaks wuss.
@ not a wuss, just know mariners have lost their lives to such vessel designs. Best of luck to you.
nice boat
ty
Bolger designed some great boats, this one is narrow and cuts nicely but in weather must it be rockin side to side...
Yep we rock and roll for sure.
I live in Idaho and I really like that boat. Like the state it has character, has the looks that only a mother can love but is immensely practical. Just like Elmer Keith, a famous Idahoan who instrumental in the development of the 357 and 44 magnum cartridges. By the way, do you know where the name Idaho comes from?
Pretty cool. its like a giant Geenoe
So cool
ty
You're a bold bunch... cool as a picnic boat but as a stay aboard... brave...
Sudden hideous "music" nauseated me. TOO loud, utterly insipid. So stupid.
It's a claim made by the lady who lives next door, And for the money I would suppose?
Is she cute?
Cool boat but out in The puget sound..... Not in a flat botto.. be careful
Reminds me of my days on the St Lawerence when I was with 10th Mountain and the 1000 Islands region
Wow, I just looked the 1000 island islands region. I can see the similarities! I will check that out further. Thanks for the comment!
With that big cabin roof I’d be running solar panels on it and electric out boards. Course batteries are heavy but you could put a troll motor up front as a makeshift bow thruster. I like it. Cool boat
Yeah, maybe at some point it will make sense to switch over. hard to spend $ and have extra downtime while it works this well, and is efficient as it is (10mpg @ 15kts). It is an excellent candidate for electric power.
They must be Mating! Wow! Someone tell marine biologists wow!
Cool.
That's got to look strange sitting on a trailer behind a car going down the road. Probably even stranger hanging out of a normal sized car garage with a hole cut in the garage door for the extra boat length.😅
Fuel at the marina is obscenely expensive
Wow, this video popped up unexpectedly! But yes, the Bolger Idaho, how obscure is that? A very interesting, "odd" boat. But actually quite pragmatic. Slices through water but sips gas. Go on epic adventures! But only on calm waters. Lakes, rivers, bays. possibilities are endless.
You need some of these Japanese handsaws, much better cut than that oscillation cutter thingy
Finding out in the middle of a lake sounds a bit risky to me… seeing the bulging floor knowing you are NOT in a dry dock or at least a Harbour…
Long and skinny makes for an efficient boat
Indeed. 10mpg @ 15kts with no wake. Very light on the water.
I love Ryan's tattoo on his left foot 😍 What does it represent?
That is a cool boat!
Cool boat! Hello from Portland!
As a naval architect who got lost in the terrible expensive stuff I really appreciate the Bolger minimalist approach. (He also designed some very 'voluptuous' boats). Many of his designs are of the 'weird and wonderful' class.
that's why you just let it dry out real good (put a radiant heater under it) then pour in pentrating epoxy until it stops soaking it up then level it with epoxy
How would it handle in poor weather with large waves? Or do you just not go out then?
We have been in 4-5 foot constant waves and it is uncomfortable. We chase fair weather and do the best we can to avoid wind and waves. This season, when we don't have the kids aboard we are going to try and get some drone footage in rough water.
As a native Oregonian, you did a GREAT job on the boat! Amazing. If time permits, come down highway 97 and stop at Crystal Springs which is near the Collier Logging Museum and near a town called Chiloquin (I used to live there when I was a boy), the lake/pond allows only hand powered craft and it’s one of the two places in the world where mere’s eggs can be found on the bottom (I probably misspelled that one). I know the kids will be amazed, the clear water gives the impression that your canoe is floating in air. I beg of you to not give those sweet children a single vacks seen!! Wait until their minds have developed and if need be, lie about them having up to date shots!
Why would you need a boat like this during the pandemic? Outside activities were perfectly safe.
