I ended up getting the CT toys version of the 185 mafex spidey, and it's excellent, even for a knock-off. in fact the weblines on the CT version are painted better than the legit figure.

I find it to be a disappointment. There’s nothing it does with articulation that the recent Marvel Legends First Appearance or Renew Your Vows molds don’t. The only advantage is has is the web accessories and the magnets; and that’s not worth the extra $30-$50 you’re paying over what you would for a Marvel Legends. I’m not a ML diehard at all; don’t get me wrong. But I feel this figure is one where the toy doesn’t live up to the hype.

I agree with Dune 2, but I only saw 3 of your top 5. I just saw Aliens last week and enjoyed it, but not even a top 10 for me. Conclave would have been on my list. Wild Rohot would have been top 10, but not top 5.

Its the goat overall. If I was to recommend a spiderman it will be this. Its 100% that the guy I recommend it to will be satisfied. But I do enjoy AY 2.0. it goes hard on posing. its tied with mafex in my book.

You’re right about the feet. If you can’t pose a figure and leave it on your shelf or desk in less than 8 seconds the figure is a fail. The point is aside from posing them is setting them on a shelf or desk or window sill and enjoying them… and them NOT falling over. I disagree with “accessibility”. I’m in New York and the targets and Walmarts here carry only a few once in a while. They just don’t want the “collector traffic” as the collectors pester managers and try to order whole palettes for themselves. So then yo have to order them and if they’re online they sell out quick. So you have to sit by a computer or cellphone…. And then you have to pay shipping. That can make a $24.99 figure after tax and shipping, cost $32 at least. But I agree with your review. Marvel legends are dependable. I just with they made them more accessible. I wish they had them in other stores. It would be a thrill. I’m a fan! Great review!!!

There is no need for a thigh or calf swivel. Those articulation points are not realistic at all and they break the illusion of the figure itself. Looking at a thigh swivel just looks wrong, at least to me. Everyone is entitled to their opinion so I know of course others will disagree but that's just me.
