Hi this is Tammie Logan I got One of those phone but I can't figure out how to get to work

can you use an existing phone number or do you need a new number?

Why do people need to drink so much, are they really having fun when their throwing up in the streets and their head hurts and they feel ill? These people drink more alcohol then I probably do in almost an entire year, no kidding. Since Christmas last year I've had 3 cans of beer and they were not even pints, it's now March and I still have only had 3 bears since before Christmas. People just act up when they get drunk. There is a common miss conception that you must drink alcohol to have a good time!!!! British culture may involve alcohol and I enjoy alcohol, but I know my limits. I can got for 3 months T total and even after then I only have a couple of Buds!!!! Seriously alcohol consumption on this scale is just ridiculous!!!!

Excellent explaination of how the set and use the phone. If you make another video, make certain as you press the buttons the viewer can see the actions. my 94 year old mom needs to “see” exactly what your doing. . Again good video

Hi Crystal, I just got this phone two days ago and love it. I also called the VA in Iowa City and gave the website to my audiologist so she could tell her patients about this phone. I'd been using the 980i for several years, but this is much better. And thank you for talking about the audio graham. I'm going to get mine from the VA to utilize that. Thanks for the information.

Good video. Awesome product. I don't hear well, so I put the vibrating disk inside my pillow case on the bottom. If it gets right under my head, though, it tends to startle me. Anyway, this alarm is he best way I've found to actually wake me up.

Hi Crystal, My dad (John) is in a senior living center three states away from where I live. John has the basic model no touch screen, no external speaker and so on. He called me today and said the screen will not reset or turn off. The bright light keeps him awake at night. Any ideas?

Great to an extent. However the main reason for the phone is for the captions. All you show here is the button to turn on captions. It doesn't show you how to configure the captions to work. We are trying to setup this phone and cannot get the captions to work. This is in a business setting.

I also have low vision... how can I purchase a phone with a big screen that hooks up to the internet and land line with multiple jacks for muting .

Dear Ellen / Crystal I am very happy to tell you that I did cure my Tinnitus completely. I think we should stop declaring Conditions or Sicknesses for not curable. Because that is manifesting that it really can't be cured. Let us do away with such beliefs and focus to find a way to cure our selves. This 840 phone is nice but the videos should mention that there IS an option of using this phone with 2 phone lines, not just 1. The 2nd phone line does the job of connecting to captioning service so that people can call the hearing impaired person directly without dialing a whole bunch of numbers - most people don't want to do this and it's really worth having 2 phone lines for the same immediate convenience as having a captioned phone hooked up to the internet.

Crystal, Great overview of this phone!! My mother is in a nursing home in Minnesota and I live in Arizona and am looking into getting a CapTel phone for her severe hearing loss. The nursing home has Internet (WiFi) service at no charge, but am concerned if the signal ever goes down (for any reason), she wouldn't be able to use captions (which defeats the whole purpose of an "i" phone). You mentioned that this phone (840) can't be used if the facility has a "huge multi line system." What does that mean? She has her own phone line that I call directly, and I pay her phone bill each month. However, when I call her phone, her caller ID doesn't show MY number (just some other number with the same area code), so not sure if this means it's a multi-line system. Any idea? I need to know more before deciding which phone would be right for her room. Thanks!

Never mind. I found a video that tells me what to do. My other question is, "Why can't I hear my mom talking when she has the speaker on? She sounds like she is a million miles away until she turns the speaker off. According to a video, when you press the speaker phone button again, it will hang up the call. How can you avoid that?

My mother just got her phone like this two days ago. I've tried calling her three different times to leave a message, so we can practice, but every time, after the specified number of rings, it says the answering machine is off. I don't want to confuse my mother and give her directions that may not be right. Is it just a simple matter of her clicking on the answering machine icon (because it has a toggle feature)? When it was set up for my mother the answering machine took messages at that time. Since I'm not there I don't know if something is wrong with the phone or if somehow, the icon was clicked on by mistake. Thank you.

I really like the idea of not needing the internet, because, I may not be able to afford the internet much longer, this , I wish was explained to me when I received mine, there was not one on the table that I remember seeing, I want this one, I have the 2400i BT, and I'm just trying to set it up, but, I'm really liking this one instead!!
