One final thought... Crafting, for me, is very similar to combat where you need several character types for a group. Crafting will also take several products from dufferent crafters to produce a final item. From Gathering, to Processing, to Producers, and down to Scribers for customization, everyone lends a hand.

Fyi: There was a video from a monthly stream that showed off the character creator. It is even more in-depth than Black Desert. It might be worth a look to see what direction they are headed in.

I only played Friday but it worked about 96% for me, I had no real connection issues, when stuff first loaded in frames def dropped but once they loaded I had no problem running the game, I did notice even while running on high graphics it definitely did not look like high graphics but it was something I was able to look past for a play test, excited to see if they are able to fix that by February I am for sure getting this day one!

That game is ugly and disgusting. It's full of freaks with malformed heads as if they were children of a lesser god. It has a massive return rate and a dwindling customer base. As for gaming journalism, how could this have turned out any other way. We all know what happens when there's a monopoly, biased reviews and reporting, news blackouts, journalism for hire. You know the rest.

I disagree that developers give out review codes to get feedback, there are things like alpha/beta access that I think this could be the case, where they are sending out codes months or years ahead of release and can make major changes based on the feedback. But review codes are given out only weeks before release where it is too late to do anything but minor bugfixes. They only send these out so these people can communicate to the public the quality of the game. And when the quality of the game is questionable they are going to be very selective about who they give the codes to or the restrictions on the codes/reviews in an attempt to mislead the public. In this case it sounds like beyond the giant websites they mostly gave codes to very small creators who normally don't get review codes where the novelty of getting to play early might improve their opinion of the game, as well as people who have not been very critical of past releases with similar issues to their game and were not very critical of the preview event. But the feedback the devs get 2 weeks before release? Unless it is some very small bug that is causing a big gameplay impact they will be doing nothing with the feedback until months after release and at that point it is no more valuable than feedback given on or after release day.

Love the Monster Hunter games, they have done a good job with this one so far as well!

Thoroughly enjoyed it 🦄👑 Haven't played DA : Veilguard, but this is what I can make out of it : Veilguard has some beautiful scenery / environments and the combat is quite weighty. The dialogues and delivery are a bit lacking though (even when overlooking the controversial parts)😅 Hope you enjoy 😊❤

Having played some of this game, I'm just disappointed everywhere. The narrative is horrendous. The overall story seems decent, but the moment-to-moment story-telling is just awful. Nothing but exposition and crude dialogue. The gameplay is basic, but competent. It works, it just isn't going to win any awards for being interesting or doing anything new. It's your typical "button-mash and occasionally use a unique ability to kill an enemy a bit harder". Losing the party control is a bad move here in gameplay that seems incredibly basic. Character creator is good, but that seems like a low bar to clear these days with triple A games. Environment team did a "good" job. It's objectively pretty and well-made. I don't love the style for a dragon age game, though. Felt TOO pretty in that regard. Wasn't really feeling any grimdark in the scenes. Overall, I'd give it a 5-6/10. It's a playable game and some will probably like it, but it doesn't do ANYTHING particularly new or novel. There's no innovation here. I won't really go into the DEI/woke stuff, I find that fairly irrelevant for judging a game. If everything else is done right, then that kind of thing won't have any issues either. Here, the dialogue had issues, so the DEI stuff did too.

I don't think the reviews are exactly fake I just think that there are people who's sole metric is 'Is there enough DEI?' and that's how they're going to review the game.

I think you nailed it. Considering the issues with the game's direction, I feel this was a miscalculation from Bioware. They should have just not clouded the game's release and STOOD ON BUSINESS
