This was the biggest piece of crap of a car I ever owned!! I ordered this exact same car (this could be it) brand new when stationed at Ramstein AB Germany. I picked it up in Dallas when I got stateside. When I walked around it, I found 13 discrepancies before even putting the key in the ignition. Drove it to Florida, then to Illinois, where I got stationed. The car was total crap! I always had issues with one thing after another and traded it in about a year later!! Unfortunately, most American cars made at that time were all crap.

Some strange comments, ranging from wanting to crush a spider who did you no harm to saying Triumph Herald chassis are week, which they are not. Your one looked a bit over ripe on the outriggers but these are available new and once the body is off they are easy to replace. The main chassis legs are made from 16swg steel are rarely rot out. the design was good and they were easy to work on. The vitesse was a great car and you can stiffen up the back suspension as it is a bit twitchy if driven hard. although the bodys are a bit light, generally they were a pretty good car with reasonable built quality.

I remember when this dvd was in the bag with that issue of petersons. Makes me feel so old now lol but my buddy I lived with and I watched this so many times

I told there about my present project, the '67 Chevy Caprice/Impala 4 Door Hardtop what i'm restoring with my dad. I'm looking for parts for this.. I know about that work to rebuild all 4 wheel arches at the fenders quarters with new self handmade sheet metal...i also rebuild the whole lower windshield frame, the "4 Door dog legs" & many more. I found the Car in Internet after a big search. I've done all by myself from searching, importing and still the restoration. Nobody had told that this is easy, but it's very importand, every saved classic is worth the work and time i think 😋 And i'm so afraid about to see you also doing this! Oh great Cars, amazing place! I love "Junk" jards so much... And i listen that you are also a guy who'll save classic cars and wouldn't give it to crush... That's so great to hear! Because i'm from germany and my heart is pumping for classic cars, especially US Cars & those junk yards at USA are so amazing, so cool, so importand to save... And save the cars, never crush. I'm still restoring a 67 Chevy Caprice Impala 4 Door Hardtop with my 70 years old Dad. (I'm 34) i got it from Ohio in unrestored, rusty condition. We had to rebuild all 4 wheel arches at the fenders & quarters with new self/handmade sheet metal. I got very good skills about forming sheet metal. Also about welding &&&. We had not replaced parts like the front fenders with another fenders without rust or so... No, i thought to save it, and i soo often think when i see what cars many car guys at USA are calling "parts cats": " why they would not restore more parts than changeing??? They could save soo many cool cars, when they're not parting them out ore crushing it..." I also have a fable for the mid-& fullsize Sedans, especially 4 Door Hardtop's. But i really really love the 4 Door models. OK, Not all of them are "Hardtop's" without the B-pillars between the doors...but the ordinary 4dr sedans are also very beautiful and I think a classic car isn't bad because it's Not a 2 Door car. Often i heared car guys at USA speaking "shitty 4 Doors" or it's only a 4 Door... I can't beleave that many people didn't see that beauty of this cars, especially with 4 Doors... But hey, i think i'm different!😅😂 And when they want 4 Doors, i want it to restore & save!😋 Is this place with those cars already there/ exists??? Could you save some cars of them??? I'm very intetested in parts for my present Project, the '67 Caprice/ Impala 4 Door Hardtop what i'm restoring in my "father son Project" (This model even a very good example about that the 4 Door Hardtop Version ist more nice than the same as a 2 Door version. The roofline has this amazing beauty, even with cranked down side windows i think! 😋) Yes, but for this Car i'm looking for parts and even also another one whole car for a next restoration project. I think guys like us have that order to save more cars for future.... Because i'm sure, next generations of car guys will afraid about of every more saved classic car! Especially that the prices are not in that dimensions of a Mercedes, or a Shelby that more people could afford a classic car. Because i'm sure, there are a lot people, other fathers with sons who like to get a classic car, even for a father son project or something else. And the most car guys couldn't afford high priced classic cars. And they only could be affordable when more people are restoring classic cars with their own hands and using junked cars for their Projects... Are you interesting in selling parts for my project or also a whole car??? I'm thinking about a 74-76 Ford Gran Torino, or a Mopar, also a Lincoln or something else. I'm also thinking about a Pontiac Grand Prix (70-76), or a Buick Riviera (71-74)... A large 4 door Dodge like a Polara or else is even also interesting for me. I don't know what cars you have or you could get from a yard for sell me , If you like it...but you could see that i'm very open about make & models☺ I hope to hear from you, i subscribed your Channel! It would be nice to have the mapped out route of each of these UA trips. This may be due to video editing, but it doesn't make sense that they start out around Rockport, IL, travel through IL backroads, across the Mississippi on the Winfield Ferry, to end up in IL, and up to Mt. Sterling. I am guessing they started out around Hannibal, MO, but I could be wrong.

I purchased a 1980 Spyder new and sold it 2 years later. The engine went bad after Mt. St Hellens blew up and I drove through the ash. It was a POS car. It spent more time in the shop then I drove it. I think I paid $7,500. At the time gas prices went from .35 to a dollar so I had to sell the gas hog.

Had one of these in which I dropped a ramrod 68 and had 2-3 upshift in the turbo 350 w/heavy duty sprags & springs,cooler after market hi rise AFB 625 carburetor and aluminum coat black jack headers! She really rolled.

Identical to my first car in 1995! My dad bought it for $750. It was a V6 auto, so it pretty much sucked, but it was mine and I loved it.

Finally.. A Toyota listed as a Hi-Lux is actually a Hi-Lux..

A 12 valve and a nv 4500 would be a nice touch. I would say I've used jobber fenders that always seem to fit oka and only oka but I've yet to see a jobber door specially on these style chevys that fit worth a shit. I've spent countless hours fixing bad doors just for that nice fit and finish I would not trust that door I'd test fit it before you do anything at all. But looks like cool project I just did rockers and cab corners and bottom door skind on the 3rd door on my 98 Z71. Once summer comes around I'm doing new front fenders and fixing the rust on the box as well as a complete full repaint. Check out SWRNC diyautoschool Pete is a good guy even when I think I think I know what I'm doing with paint and auto body he seems to still teach me something check him out.
