You both did a wonderful job of explaining all one has to do to get a quilt top ready for a longarm. I have not even made a quilt, but have all the material to do it. This is an adorable runner for 4th of July❣️ Thanks for sharing how you quilted it on your domestic machine. I like to machine quilt smaller projects like this but I prefer to have large quilts done by a long arm quilter. I found your channel from a shout-out by Brenda on Conquering Mount Scrapmore.

If the holes are not too large you can take a straight pin & drag the tip over the hole several times. This will close the hole

We all do these things differently, but my motto of press, press and press again seems to 9 out of 10 times get that extra "scooch more" that is needed. Especially that center fold line. Just my personal hint and I love your tutorial!!

Excellent process with detailed instruction. I wouldn't have tried this block without your guidance. And I will make this block without feeling anxious.

What fun! Pressing the block joining seams to the right in the first row of blocks, left in second row (alternating) helps me nest the rows. So glad you mentioned cutting into the selvages.

Since you squared up your blocks, when you sewed the blocks together there shouldn’t be an overlap of material. Meaning, the blocks should line up perfectly and there shouldn’t be material on the bottom or top that is a little extra. I hope this makes sense.

Wow! This seems like the cuts are SO picky. If you make a slight mistake in measuring the games over. I would say this is an easy looking quilt, but you need to be an expert cutter to pull it off.

I have watched this a couple of times. That blue plaid is so adorable. I may not make two plaid sides but I make two runners. I love the 4th quilt renderings. Thank you for sharing. 🌹🌹💚
