Post-Hurricane Relief: First CSX Trains X603 & X604 Deliver Supplies After Hurricane Milton 10/12/24
Just three days after Hurricane Milton, a Category 3 storm, devastated parts of Tampa Bay and washed out sections of Lakeland and Pasco County, I was thrilled to catch the first trains coming through. Today, I captured two vital CSX trains-X603 and X604-bringing essential relief materials.
Southbound Train X603 arrived loaded with wood and other critical supplies needed for rebuilding efforts. This was a significant sign of recovery, showing the vital role railroads play in providing disaster relief. Northbound Train X604, a mixed freight train with empty cars, made its way out of the impacted areas, heading north for future use.

September 5th, 2024, brought a special surprise to the tracks! I managed to catch CSX M453, a regular Waycross-to-Miami train, in two locations thanks to track work that slowed the train down. How do you find freight trains in your area I want to find some to watch go by but they just come randomly
Company likes to overload an engine like this all the time
We met with some of the crews and they mentioned that is a norm and frustrating
Shame poor train tried for 30 minutes before it got help

At times, they send down foreign power to pick up empty potash or grain. Even ethanol empties and full load phosphate
Pumpkin lead trains in day time are really cool
