Yes… I have the content on my SSD drive from the trip back in October 2023. I had partially started the edit before I left the UK but due to the build up to my departure I didn’t finish them. I thought it was about time I got them finished especially for the guys who were on the journey with me. I will get the third one edited after I catch up on my RTW edits.

There are over 100,000 signs at the forest. It was started during WW2 by a GI working on the Alaskan Highway. … it grew from then on. You’ll see my sticker in the next episode. After months sleeping in bear country you get used to it. When you see them though it brings it home to you you’re not the top of the food chain.

Crikey!! Me on your podcast 😳. I do find it a chore as I’m so far behind. But I suppose that was due to being in the Yukon and Alaska with limited facilities. I’ve also been travelling with a small group and it’s enjoyable to socialise rather than edit. I must admit when I look back at the content it brings back the memories as much has been forgotten. I also try a write a journal when in my tent at night, I’m glad I’ve made the effort to document my journey… I hope to get some down time soon to get a little more done.

Yep he has landed, he was waiting for his bike a few hours ago when we text'd. I thought about a long film on my return but as I plan to be on the road for a couple of years I think I'd forgot what I've done. Even now I forget until I look back at the footage. I've just completed the Dempster Highway and now I'm sat in Dawson City just going over footage from 5 weeks ago. It's also that fine line between putting interesting stuff in (well what I think is interesting) and trying to tell a storer or just filling time. I suppose I'm trying to figure out whether it's a vlog or a film and my style..... I'm sure that will come with time as well as learning to edit and film with the edit in mind.

@@demon_rides Well I'm enjoying you trying to figure that out.... Being an editor definitely makes one a better cameraperson.

Thanks… I was gutted not to be at the LWAF.. Hopefully Marc put on our film we made for the festival so I was kind of there. I’ve tried to get b roll in everything I’ve done so far. I forget as I’m wrapped up in the journey. They do get better as they go on, well I hope you think they so. You’ll have to keep watching to see what happens with the luggage.

@@demon_rides There's a hook for me to keep watching!!! Yeah, I know it takes a lot of effort to do the B roll, but it really makes a difference.

@@ReelRidersPodcast I agree it 100% the difference… I want to get my narrative and narration sorted too. It’s all a learning curve. Trying to do this whilst on the road makes it doubly hard. I’d say they get better half way through number 4…. I’ve watched them back and now see and hear edit issues. I’ve finally sorted one of the equipment issues but now I have a different one… argh!! Life on the road 😂 everyday is a school day.

It is the same video but the original was a low quality 480SD. I’ve re done it in 1080HD so it’s better quality picture now. I also made a new thumbnail as the other one was rubbish.

@@demon_rides ..don't make your videos your top priority..unless of course it is..do your journey for your reasons ..enjoy the journey..the people ..the experiences..take the road/track at your own pace ..take plenty of time off the saddle ..dont make it a test of endurance..the bike will always win..how do I know this 🤔..enjoy and hopefully we will have a 🍺 on the roads less travelled. 🇨🇮👮‍♂️

Of course I want to live the journey through my eyes and not the camera lens.
