2024 CVO Road Glide quick spin – Issue #197
"It was a great day on a fabulous motorcycle. It’s comfortable, fast, luxurious and very capable. It’s a lot of money, but boy, it sure looks the part.
What a machine!" - David Cohen, HEAVY DUTY

HEAVY DUTY chats to Bill Davidson (out-take)
Great review. I purchased a used 2020 GT 3 with 334 miles. Actually, I won money in Vegas and after getting back to Dallas I bought the bike. The price was $17,250 out the door with tax and other charges. The bike appears new. Not a scratch. I'm 68 and I'm keeping my Rocket in my Man Cave. I have other toys as well. I love this machine. I have owned 32 bikes since 1970 incuding 2 Boss Hoss bikes. The Boss Hoss, although big and heavy, could not out accelerate the Rocket and are not well made. More home-made in quality. Triumph is top notch.
I’m getting one in July the Rocket 3R Storm, anybody in the Seattle area want to get together and ride in the twisties? Or-- whatever.
Sold my 2021 R1 for a 3 R. Could not be any happier! Such a stunner too, once you stopped, you get people talk to you about it. Surely nothing for the socially awkward! :D
😍😍😍😍😍😍
You know, they made the real thing from 1924 until the late 90's, and you can get one for a very reasonable price!
I have become obsessed with looking up this bike lately. When it first came out I had no interest dismissing it as another cruiser. It’s such a unique bike with so much character and personality. Love it.
Great review of a lovely bike.
bmw needs to release tha service manaul
I bought the 3R a year ago and have now installed the GT seats and sissy bar, forward pegs, handle bars with heated grips. quick shifter. bluetooth and small wind shield. I'm by no means flush with cash but my wife let me buy it and worked hard and paid it off in 1 year. I recently had an exhaust specialist work on my exhaust and now it sounds like it should, brrrapp. I couldn't be happier with it. I am thrilled every time I ride it. I ride mostly in rain mode because in sport mode it accellerates way too fast lol. I put it in sport mode if I'm feeling gnarly and leave everything in the dust.
Beauty and the beast all in one! A bear in sheep's clothing! Great review!
BTW - the '22 R3 GT has the moniker "Bobber Clobber" here in Valley View California.

Best review I’ve seen yet, no hype just the bike and the facts. Thank you
Pipes look proper naff 👎
How long until the 3.0 litre? 😂
I lust for this like I did for the monster.
Nicely done video! I enjoyed your enthusiasm for motorcycles and your neutral review. Like yourself, I appreciate all kinds of motorcycles. Great job. Thank you for sharing.
I think this is the most amazing production bike in the world, but the instrument panel does look a bit naff, maybe if they made it as a straight sided rectangle?
Such an underpowered bike! Very low torque - bad handling, small rear tyre! Lol 😆 Monster!
I'm 5'7 do you think it'd be a great idea for me to b a rocket 3 GT Would I flatfoot on it?
Any chance doing a test on a similar age GT spec David?
Fantastic review, I've had the classic and Roadster and now a Rocket 3 GT and you've absolutely hit the nail on the head with this review. Brilliant 👍
Got mine and I love it !!!!
The deal killer is it's tires requiring inner tubes...Stupid
That was a lovely video - I want one!
What a beautiful bike and…Made in Thailand. It diminishes it to a cold product of marketing, instead of waving it as a pinnacle of British craftsmanship. Such a shame…
Its the best looking bike to date.
The price ?
it needs suto clipon bars large bike skinny handlel bars that is just me
I want one!
Its like the Brit version of the Yamaha V Max.
One would think Triump would build a full out touring machine with choice of fairings and latest electronic doodads based on the very potent Rocket III platform to take on Harley-Davidson, Indian, Honda and such, since the engine and chassis components for such a bike already exists...probably with some engine tweaking for more torque at lower rpms. Triumph would garner a sizable segment of the touring market with such a bike.
70 mph speed limit here in the UK. Is there any point to this machine 🤔
Very good review. The main thing I have been trying to find out is how much peg scraping there is. You're the first one I've found that has discussed that specifically. I will picking mine up in three days.
Single headlight would be perfect...
It's as attractive as Rosie O'Donnell 🤮
This review is the dogs bollocks mate.
Best looking bike.
What a beautiful looking motorcycle.

I've owned a Thunderbird, a Speed Twin, and a Tiger 90. That was in the days when I could almost ride a motorcycle properly. Nowadays at 73 my wife won't let me near one. So no Triumphs for me. What a sensational machine this is....
