Your video struck a chord(in a good way). I was 12 when I started being 'active' in adult scenarios. Talking inappropriately, sharing photos, and generally acting how i thought adults did. How tv told me romance was. And everyone who witnessed it turned a blind eye to it. Hell, one of my middle school friends thought it was COOL that i had an 18-19 year old boyfriend. The guy had had a moment where he went 'this is wrong', but i convinced him it was okay. That I was old enough and 8 years isn't really that big of an age gap. And he listened, and we continued. And I was convinced I was in love because he was older than me and he was cool and he knew everything. I was pissed when one of my other friends told on me and my parents took away my phone. They never told me why it was bad or anything, but they told me that i can't be doing that and it was wrong. My father told me I should have known better. And I was angry because they didn't understand. I continued to have experiences where people(up to 35 years old when i was like 13) would talk to me sexually. I was 15 or 16 when a snapchat person threatened to leak my photos to my entire school, and when I told my dad, he told me it was my fault. That I should know better and that we've been through this before. But looking back, now at 19 , it wasn't my fault. None of it was. I was 12 and I looked up to those people and they took advantage of it. I shouldn't have had to see or do the things I did, and it has messed me up for a long time. Even now, I have trouble figuring out issues related to age gaps. I guess what I'm saying is I get what you mean. At that age, having people that are older than you shower you with praise and say that they care, it's like the best thing. You feel special. And they know that and they use it to get what they want. It isn't your fault. It was NEVER your fault. You were a child and you trusted them, and that trust was violated and used against you.

I'm sorry this happened to you. I'm not going to say anything about healing because I personally don't believe that trauma can ever be healed, but I wish you happiness. You're very brave for speaking out.

I’m a victim of Online grooming, which I’m not sure is the same as in person grooming so I’m not sure how much validity I have in this compared to other commenters…but, the video title really spoke out to me, and I’m sorry for your experience.. those adults who did such horrible things are at fault not you. After being groomed there is so many long term effects you just can’t get away from for years and it’s Terrifying… it’s almost like the groomer programed a system into you you can’t break away from, hypersexuality being the most commonly talked about.

Almost every conversation she turned weird and I didn't think anything of it, until we started talking about THOSE kinds of audios. One random day we were talking and then she started "simping" or something for me, I have no idea why or how but then she messaged me to "F her now" and I was in shock since wtf- now she's blocked and I still have sleepless nights from it, this year I'm turning 13 and I'm going to the same high school as her so I'm really nervous about that, but atleast I have my friends and my sister to protect me from anything if something happens

My mother was raped as a child. Though I am not a victim of r@pe, I completely understand where your coming from. I also knew Someone younger than me that was in the same side of the internet as you were, they thought those things were ok as well. (They were a proshipper, but a minor) I was friends with them because I wanted to understand them better, to understand “well, why do they even have this mindset?” I eventually landed in the same hellhole, but I found the fanfics they sent me comical and dumb, and also uncomfortable and weird. I hope their ok still. It’s not their fault in any way. I am the same age as you (15), and what you went through is fucking insane, it’s insane that people have this mindset that it’s ok for people to groom and exploit minors. It’s insane that they gave that mindset to YOU. No one deserves this, no matter what you’ve done, and I hope the world heals soon. As a victim of grooming I understand that it is hard to not blame yourself. I was 12 when I was introduced into this kind of stuff. I was caught by my sibling and instead of helping me and treating me like a victim they hurt me and blamed me and said it was my own fault and now I can't even see the good in people. I'm now 16 and from the age of 12 to 15 I was in multiple relationships with people from thr ages if 16 to 57. These men and women groomed me and gave me lots of attention and praise. This led me to failing in multiple classes at school and neglecting myself. I never told people what happened to me. I was forced to send pictures and videos that they used to blackmail me over and over again. I had a man stalk me when I was 13 and he tried to kidnapped me but he backed off when I was "too old". I had another man buy my things that made me believe that love is nothing but sexual. This is the only positive attention I ever got during this time because my parents were gone all the time and my sibling abused me. I thought this was a healthy outlet at the time but now realizing it I need to run. Thank you for making this and that you shared your personal experience and helped so many others with this.

After I exposed him he went onto groom his 15 year old step sister, right now he's not in jail and still grooming her. I hate it, I wish I could step in and save her like I wish someone would step in and save me.
