You can tell that Chip Hurd studied Judy Garland. She really has that emotional authenticity on screen like Judy. I remember her on Good Times and those scenes were SO authentic.

This touched my heart so much! I had no idea what Chip and Kim went thru. There’s only 18 years between them and they are super close. What a blessing.

You can absolutely tell in the Good Times scenes that Chip studied Judy Garland's acting. What is so genius about Chip Hurd is that you wouldn't immediately see it that way had she not said it. She is as great an actress as Judy Garland was and that is NOT said of actors often.

7:05 - I was gutted when Kim Fields said, "you don't know what she's been through". Actually I had no idea, until now. I also really loved it when "Mizz Gordon" (1:45) said "well, you know, beating Penny up was just because.... and it was fun" (I lost it). Mother and daughter Fields seem like really special people and I'm glad to have seen them on tv all these years.
