A demonstration video of a Japa 700 circular saw firewood processor. Here we are processing 3.4m Sycamore thinnings from the Scottish Borders. This is a very fast, small diameter machine which is capable of quickly processing all shapes of timber. The 700mm saw blade cuts timber up to 26cm in diameter to a max log length of 58cm long. The 5.6 tonne ram then automatically splits the log through ...

Treeline Woodlands Ltd. Thinning in Scotland

A quick look at what we do at Treeline Woodlands Ltd, specialising in thinning your woodlands. By using appropriately sized machinery we keep canopy openings narrow so as to reduce wind ingress and our intermediate thinning leaves stocking densities as even as possible. We utilise a Hyundai 145 excavator fitted with a Kesla 25rhs harvesting head, converted by Caledonian Forestry Services, and a...
Can you import these machines to the US and if so what would be current cost in US $
There s a logmax dealer who sell them in Quebec, east Canada, but it is they only one show on the malwa site
Schöner Wald schöne Maschine 👍
Bonne présentation 🇫🇷
Cost in US dollars
Would be Nice if you could make more videos about the Malwa, and if possible have a walk around with Malwa 560 combo machine, how to operate it (the harvester)
What do you think, are better xyz or on-off comands?😊
You mentioned it’s 3 phase. Is it a PTO version that’s been adapted? Many thanks
Thanks.
Thanks for this video lets us out here in video land who doesn't own or operate any of these and never will, we just like watching. This answers some of those "how does that work?" Thanks again.
Thanks for your video, what does the forwarder with trailer cost?
excellent job
what is the total length of the bunk and can load 16 ft logs
Yes, we quite regularly move 16 ft logs with ours and it manages fine. 12 ft is the sweet spot but with 16's we just don't heap them right up. The bunk is just over 3m long with an extension of about 40cm if needed.
Very NICE work WELL DONE and thank you thumbs up and shared. 👍
Nice. 👍
I like these little forwarders I looked at buying one to use in the New Forest and other the only problem is loading trucks and how far you have to drive to the unloading areas people want you to use and not just come straight out of the forest. Thank you for the video thumbs up and shared. 👍
Hi Richard, thanks for your interest. For long extraction distances you can use the trailer which takes capacity up to 9 tonnes, or in volume terms the same as a Komatsu 845. (See video here: ruclips.net/video/azA9HuT5nHg/видео.html ) The crane and height of the machine would not be so good for loading trucks though, we have never tried... We are looking at the option of hiring out one of our Malwa forwarders for people to use on sensitive jobs and to be able to get a better try of the machines, especially if they have individual sensitive jobs but not full time work for it. Let us know if this would be of interest.
@@treelinewoodlandsltd6162 Thank you.
La Amr 16tonnes sur essieux routier va plus vite avec moi !!!
Paljonko kone maksaa?
Nice dropping the belly pan from the front. Always sketchy sitting under it to unbolt a 100 pound pan that's just waiting for a chance to fall flat on your face.
Looks like a nifty little machine! The controls seem well thought out, too. Setting the speed with the dial, much like cruise control, appears a little odd but I'm sure you get used to it very quickly.
Yea, it's more like a speed limiter than cruise control as it just sets the top speed. This lets you keep your foot flat to the floor rather than having to hover at the right speed, which can be tricky when bouncing over things in the forest.
@@treelinewoodlandsltd6162 Ahh, very nice! That is a lot more intuitive to drive, and definitely improves comfort and control a lot. Cheers! :)
That's impressive!!!... we don't have anything like that in Canada that I'm aware of...
Looks like a verry good machine
They're not thinning near enough trees!
Its only a first thinnning taking the racks out for future work you take a line out and thin the first 3 rows for the produce then its ready for second thinning
@@TheMONTREYJACK1993 Sorry you lost me! What a rack? 2. Thin 3 rows and then what? Seems reality weird system. Each tree need about 3 times more space for proper sunlight and growth. 20+ ft between trunks
@@lostcreek163 early thinning or 1st thinning is to put access into woodlands for further work in the future a rack is a line put into the woodland like you see in this video if the wood is planted in line the general rule of thumb is every 7 row or trees you take the 8th row and you thin out the first 3 rows of timber so you have room to place the produce if you thin a woodland to hard at its early stage it opens the wood up to wind and can blow over and cause the trees to become rough especially if the the wood is on the side of a hill after first thinning is complete you then second thin taking out the poorer quality timber out and leaving the better trees in some cases after that they clear fell the wood and in others depending on area and quality of timber they may thin again spacing the timber out and leaving the very best ones
@@TheMONTREYJACK1993 Thanks didn't realize that you had a wind problem
@@lostcreek163 scotland wales and parts of england are very hilly so wind is a big factor but if the woodland is worked properly and can establish itself they last longer sometimes the wind is just to much and they blow over anyway lol
Nice Kesla head
Note the ruts made by machines👎
Where? you can’t be talking about a built road or grass field ,that is most likely plowed and scarified yearly. Not ruts it the stand that is being thinned. That is the only place that ruts, must be scrutinized
LOL !
What a disgustingly geometrical forest. Well done.
Conifer plantations are horrible.
