Hi, I discovered your channel just a few days ago and I was looking for some vlogs to look at while crocheting, and a lot of them bored me, until I found one of your videos. And I think there's not a particular reason, I think I just like you, and that's the thing, if someone likes you it's not important what you do in your vlogs or if sometimes you have a bad day. So I wanted to say, it's ok not to be perfect, it's ok to have weird days, it's just nice to follow you along and hear what you have to say❤

I loooovvee your hair!!! It's so coily and looks so healthy in your videos! I have a similar hair texture so I get it, I watch all of these curly haired people online using so many products and get so overwhelmed but keeping it simple has been my best bet. I've never tried a diffuser though so I want to at some point!!

Currently making a snowflake pillow for my sister, I'd say it takes about 5-6 hours?

Inspired me to crochet fingerless gloves and a matching headband for my mother-in-law and nieces. Another easy-to-make idea is a crochet frame for pictures. I made one for my best friend, which took less than an hour. I am making green and red ones to put pictures of our family that won't make it for Christmas.

i make beanies if i need a last minute gift they're easy and quick + there are so many differnt kinds of beanies that you can make

I made a strawberry stitch towel topper for my mom, just took a towel, folded it in half, made holes at the top and crocheted into each one, alternated the strawberry stitch, and alternated between the strawberries and decrease rows, then once I’d decreased it to my desired width I crocheted it long enough to hook over the oven handle, made a crochet loop at the end, and added a button!

Making star garlands is my mom and I's new obsession! I can make one medium sized garland with 10 stars in under an hour. There is a very quick and easy tutorial here on youtube that works with basically any type of yarn (How To Crochet Christmas Star Garland [...] by Endless Diy Aart is the one I followed). Highly recommend as it's a fun pattern to make and you could crochet only the stars to use in a whole variety of projects. Thank you for the cute gift recommendations!

Not that I am an overconsumer, I can't really afford to be one, but I still get that annoying need to buy stuff unnecessarily and I don't like to live like this. I want to live more slowly, like I used to. I agree with pretty much everything you said and I'll try to make more sustainable and MEANINGFUL presents this year. Wish more people did the same :)

We have slowly created a collection of decor that feels very “us” and we are excited to just keep reusing it every year versus buying a whole new lineup of decor items from Target

Great post! Love hearing your thoughts on this, and the fact that you are educating and advocating for things that benefit the planet, the clutter, etc. The struggle is real! Knitting a Christmas stocking for my mother while watching this video, precisely in (small) response to overconsumption. She saw a cute but cheaply-made trendy stocking in the store while visiting, and I steered her away from impulse-buying it on the promise that I could make one like it, but more in her style. Now I have to make good on that promise! 😅

I LOVE Christmas because of gift giving but everyone in my family hates it. It's like this waste of money and time to them, just a time to receive more junk they'll never use, and that really bothers me. Gift giving can be so magical when it's not made into this capitalistic hellhole. It can be pure and kind, I wish it was treated that way and cheap homemade gifts were more normalized. Love everything you said here 😁🤶😁🤶

I actually made the keychain with the anatomically correct heart. It was a lot of work, using embroidery yarn but it was so worth it!
