Epiroc T45 SmartROC. Rig Tour. Part 5
This video covers the last menu screen.
This is the last video discussing this drill rig.
Since shooting these videos, I have been offered a role with a different company who runs drills which are different to this one.
And so, the teacher becomes the student.
Happy Drilling :)

In this video, we do a quick overview of the logs screen. We also make a start going through the main settings screen. There is more that can be done in these screens. However, access to those extra parameters is guarded and requires a special code. There are different levels of access which are granted by entering different codes. Happy Drilling :)

Hi Guys, I'm Q, and welcome to my channel, where we talk all things blast hole drilling. The purpose of this channel is simply for me to share some things with you about drilling blast holes. Specifically, whilst operating a top hammer style drill rig. Most of the content will focus on the rig itself, the Epiroc T45-11. I don't claim to be an expert, any tips or tricks from fellow experienced d...

In this video, we begin a multi part series looking at the cool features within the main display on a late model Epiroc T45-11 SmartROC. So, what makes it smart? Full electric over hydraulic controls and a trick display that lets you monitor and adjust the majority of parameters, all from the comfort of a heated seat in the well insulated cab. That plus the ability to have full control over the...
Automated rod handling is kick-ass.
Sir sanvik dii 550 drill machine ka review
Thanks for the videos very informative. I hope you make new videos give more tips about operation and maintenance of the rig.

I want learn, how to operate a drill rig epiroc
Looks almost exactly like a Sanvic
What is the point of making holes? Where does the rock or dirt go once you drill and bring it up?
😢
Nice .......

Hello. I too have been a driller for almost 20 years. and I have now returned to my former company. they have 5 drilling machines T40 smart rock, epirock. and I have not drilled on these newer machines. even these drillers who drill have no idea about a drill. I would like to know if you can send me a picture of the pressure you have for the hammer. thank you Dejan
The hammer, or percussion pressure, for this type of hammer, is usually run at 180 Bar. Of course it depends on the ground you are drilling, if you are drilling some super hard granite, then 190bar can be acceptable. If the rock is "softer" giving you a rate of penetration of faster than 1.5meters per minute, then 160bar would be more acceptable. If the ground is really soft, I'll adjust the pressure right down to 130 bar. As always, it all depends.. one part of what makes drilling so interesting is the challenge of finding the right balance of Percussion pressure, rotation speed and pressure, and the damper pressure, for the type of rock being drilled. Sure, you could let the hammer run at 180bar all day, but if the ground is too soft or if there are many cavities, then that high percussion pressure will lead to the cracking of the rods and the shank. One criteria of what makes up a skilled operator, is the ability to adjust the rig for a high rate of penetration, while also being as gentle as possible to avoid premature wear and tear of the equipment.
Please make a video on changing the rod,,,,
what a pity that there is no continuation
I agree. After Australia went covid stupid, I decided to move to another country and start a new line of work. My days of drilling are over. But, I'll still be here online and I'll still respond to any drilling related questions :)
Buddy, excellent explanation. Thank you very much for your teachings
Thanks for the explanation, could you bring us a short tour about the joysticks, using the manual and automatic modes?
Careful when adjusting air levels lower than 50%. Lower levels will cause compressor to over cycle and possibly dump separator tank oil into your air filters.
Hi buddy what level are you talking about is that the air flow or air pressures? i experience blowing up the air filter/ separator. thank for your comment
@@noelrevil7623 Air Level. With this type of machine and size of the separator tank/compressor 50% air should be somewhere around 3 bar pressure. Anything lower than that will cause the compressor to over cycle and send hydraulic oil in the separator tank to go places it shouldn't.
If the problem of oil getting dumped into your air intake persists look into replacing the "anti rumble valve".
HOLE SIZE?
The rig will drill anything between 76mm-127mm, you can go larger, but it's not really designed for it.

I love drilling and love u
Nice videos bro excellent explaination
Thanks bro, really informative. I'm with Ozland Drilling & Blasting Services. We use T45 rigs. Can't wait to Drill.
great videos look forward to seeing more apreciate you taking the time to make them watch them all time learnt a few things from them cheers keep up the good work Iam sure all the guys learning them will apreciate it thanks
always good to find information about blast rigs being diamond drilling for a few years is certainly bit different than blast hole but hav much same principles whilst one drilling with muds other with just air and water will continue to follow videos so keep up the good work guys.
I am also drilling operter am also using power rock t 35 I have 10 year experience about of this machine so is there any opportunity for me plz
Please when is pre-start checks and rig set up videos coming up?
Stil using an ecm 590.and only gauge that properly works is the rpm 😂😭
Hola desde panamá
Not too many people take the time and effort to put out such useful content that's focused on such a niche viewing audience. Thank you so much mate. Can I have your e-mail add to clarify a couple of questions? P.S. Thanks for no lame background music.

The operator code, is that default or chosen by the user?
The operator mode is the default setting every time the rig is turned on. The code to select the different access levels/unlock the hidden tabs, is built in from the factory. All of these rigs run only a few different codes between different models and generations of rigs. Although they can also be set up to only change mode by inserting a "service access" usb stick. It will depend on how the rig was configured from the factory.
Please bro show us how to use the fuctions if that rig levers.thanks.
Thanks very much
How long is each rod
The rods on that rig are 3.6m each.

Thank you sir

We need more of these! I've got a t40 w/ a trimble set up (Maine, United States). Any more content coming
Curious what "trimble" set up is? Massachusetts driller here. 22yrs experience never heard of it. But I do know quite a bit about these rigs currently running T45-11 for 6yrs.
The Trimble is the name of the GPS Unit used is setting up GPS patterns, or as Epiroc call it, HNS (Hole Navigation System). Like all techy things, they are great when then work. You just load the drill map onto a USB, stick it in the rig, and boom, your drill map is on your screen, when you select a hole, it automatically sets the hole angle, direction and depth, all with no dots on the ground. It'll even work out offset/deviation calculations for you at the touch of a button. I've used it on F9c's, T45's, C50's and D65's. There are also other systems of different names that basically do the same thing for other styles of rigs. Personally, I love it, you don't have to worry about trashing dots while tramming, and it saved me from repainting an entire patterns after it gets marked up in fluro pink, which I have serious trouble seeing lol
Excellent tutorial my Boss
ay im the guy with whom you had a convo with on crazygames(the shooting game lol)
