I miss zagreus but jeez hades 2 really set the bar high with its combos characters, designs and story. The best part is the new maps. Given two different paths instead of one linear is insane. I love it. Ive invested 100s of hours in hades and while both are amazing hades 2 has become my new addiction.

I didn't get the cast mechanic at first, but it can be amazingly powerful with the right boons. In particular, the cast boons of Zeus, Demeter, Hephaestus, and Hestia are my favorites. There are some additional boons from Apollo and Demeter which can kind of augment your cast circle with additional damage or gust effects. The snare ability is really helpful for some of the fast running enemies which are much more common in the sequel. Also the sprint is really a fun mechanic that distinguishes it from Hades 1, while not being really better or worse. Again, the right boons, like Zeus's, can make sprinting a weapon too, and I honestly prefer to not have to spam the dash button. Both games are similar but with some noteworthy differences that make them a unique experience. I'm glad because I have mostly run out of story on Hades 1. I'm eager to see how they end the story of Hades 2..

I'd say the most consistent use I get out of the Hades 2 cast is stopping chasing enemies in their tracks.

ngl I don't like the UI in 2. Don't know if they've changed it but looks like a cheap mobile game

Weapon balancing in hades 2 even after the first patches/update is still way behind the first title. The twin blades that allow you to teleport behind any enemy inflicting guaranteed backstab completely outclasses every other weapon in the game for me, and the staff that throws O R B S at enemies is still unplayable imo. Every weapon in Hades 1 had legitimate reasons to use them and they all had their perks. The shield certainly was easier to use for newer players but the Bow's ability to deal massive damage with practice is an example of what I want from the Witch's staff in Hades 2. The newest weapon introduced I think has a lot of potential but still seems underpowered compared to what is available in the twin blades.

I’ve had a lot of new people looking at my stuff from this video which is great! Thank you all for tuning in and giving some opinions!! Just wanted to clear the air on some things that a lot of people are commenting: - Yes I completely left out an area of Hades 1! I just forgot about it my bad! - Despite how it may come across I’ve got a good 50+ hours in Hades 1 and love the game a lot! Not making the credits roll does not make my opinions on the game mean nothing - my opinions on Hades 1 and 2 are just that! Opinions! I appreciate that they’re not popular opinions and for the most part people have been respectful of that and saying their own opinions which is awesome!! Discussion is exactly what I was hoping to find from this video! - for those who are giving their builds like I asked thank you so much!! I’m now choosing to stay clear of Hades 2 until full release after clocking a good 30+ hours into the early access. Thank you all again so much for watching! It means a lot! 6:36 interestingly, I *love* the new cast in Hades 2, its ability to freeze enemies in place makes the large area attacks way more fun to use, as well as making large enemy groups a lot easier to deal with (there's a lot more big groups for this reason too). Try something like Pan blades + poseidon special + demeter/hera cast and just spam omega specials against everything in your cast, it's insane

You have to beat it 10 tines to continue the dialogue each time with Persephone for the credits to roll (and then a few more times for true ending)

SPOILERS AHEAD, I guess... What's fun about hades 2 is that you can tell they are trying very hard to make it not feel the same as hades 1. So far, they've fully accomplished that and more! Sure, they do have some of the same stuff from hades 1, but even those are slightly different from before, like static shock from Zeus priming magick and essentially being like his attack boon from hades 1. Just the other day, I was able to do a run where I could resist 120% damage, so long as I had enough magick. They've been trying, and it shows through the uniqueness of the boons. I'm curious if the arcana cards are going to have a flip side to have more options like the pitch black mirror from hades 1. The keepsakes are different, with only one of them being the same, but as a gag. The story hasn't been fully developed, and I think going down is too easy now, so I can't wait to see how the story goes and if they'll make going down a bit more difficult. The game started with two times as many gods to choose from than the last game and have added more since then in some way. Off the top of my head, the things they have yet to add are as follows. - The hidden aspects. There's been an empty space for them this entire time. - Ares, who has been spoken of and has been said to be the final God they add. How they'll add him, I don't know, since we're told by Athena that ares doesn't want the conflict to end, so it's unknown if he'll help towards ending it, being the god of war and all. - Some keepsakes. Hades doesn't have a keepsake yet. Sure, it makes sense for him not to, but it also makes just as much sense for him to have one to give since a character in hades 1 was in a... similar situation. - 5th and final familiar. The layout of things in the traingrounds shows an empty spot for a fifth familiar. What it would be, I have no idea, but the last one would complete the familiar set of one for each resource type. - Vengeance boons. I don't know if it's meant to be like this, but there aren't that many vengeance boons. I think they plan on adding more boons, so I hope they plan on doing that. - Petting Cerberus. Need I say more? I want to pet the goofy three-headed hell hound.

Loved the video. Also: the cast actually IS the best part of Melinoe's kit. It's also the reason her dash doesn't need extra charges. If you didn't know, cast is a snare that traps enemies in place, giving you space to do your thing. Loads of buffs are good for it but I really like some two of Apollo's that cause it to increase the size as cast lingers and then NUKE the area after it expires

Yes with Pokémon, particularly Pokémon sword with Pokémon, scarlet doing the max raid battles and raids back to back of times while having Pokémon home to fill the gaps, but that’s my personal way others may be different or totally relatable to others. The cast in hades 2 is extremely essential, mainly because of damage multipliers. I find that it is an extremely stark difference between hitting an opponent versus hitting an opponent in my cast (and especially with two different status effects) thanks to the arcana

The casts are great when you try them with some of the runes like dementer or Zeus, hestia and some others. You can make some amazing builds using them correctly

Left out a crucuial gameplay mechanic - the boons or in run upgrades which are now alot less limited.

The best part about the cast is the slowing/grabbing. If you are able to slow time (charging omega moves), they get trapped in there and then it is easy to pick them off instead of dashing around getting rushed down by screamers or stabby people. Plus any good cast upgrade (Hephaestus's big damage smash, the Freeze or gusts, the lightning bolts) does more damage WHILE holding them still. It really comes down to just doing a lot of combos.

I got into Epic the Musical and Hades 2 around the same time, not to mention I'm a huge Rick Riordin fan. I feel like Greek Mythology is slowly taking over my life. . .

Can't wait until the Hades 3 where you have to fight Kratos, lol
