Highlander Priest is MAX value in LEGEND rank
Hi friends. Today's video I'm playing Highlander Priest. The win condition for this deck is simply to outvalue opponents with constant cards that generate cards. Because we're often discovering, we'll have an answer to most situations, and opponents will have a rough time guessing what to play around. The deck is definitely slow, but it has enough tools to survive till lategame and then beat opponents in it.

Highlander Bomb Warrior is still a monster deck in LEGEND ladder

Hi friends. Today's video is my Highlander Warrior. Despite multiple nerfs, this deck just seems to keep winning. Most recently, Brann was nerfed from 6 cost to 8 cost, which does meaningfully slow him down, but against control decks it's not that big of an inconvenience. I always want to play priest, i love their style, i just dont have the patience, im a good old midrange/tempo guy. :D This is why plague DK is the go for me. :D
I tend to be a midrange player as well :) OTK decks are my worst archetype, but I do pretty well with control decks.

Not sure how I feel about Toyrantus. Feels like adding another card on top of Zilliax that if it gets yogg'd and you have no answer, probably going to lose. If there was more removal/mass removal available to Druids I'd put him in. Maybe I'm just frustrated by the lack of control tools for the class.
I've considered taking him out, but not because of enemy Yoggs. I feel like I can do better with that card slot.

The thing about the game is that every deck, can have it's issues yes even buff paladin can fail depending what your playing against.Another thing to think, about is not always net decking or going for the greediest builds.You have to play versus what type of decks your facing at your rank, and NOT what Hrsreplay says is good or bad. I found I learned a lot more playing on my f2p account example I did much better NOT playing reno Warrior so that I had more access to removal because Warrior still has a strong end game able to bounce TNT in spite of no Brann and or using the bombs taunt as well and of course the Excavate plays which can also be bounced for several uses.
I have had seasons where off-meta decks I brewed performed much better for me than the meta decks. It often comes down to creating something that fits your playstyle and that you can make sense of how the cards interact. That said, I've also bashed my head against a wall trying to get a home brew deck to work, only to give up on it when I realize it just doesn't work.
Blizzard HS team makes me laugh they nerf mana costs but the game is infested with mana cheating and charge and direct damage to face so wtf hypocritical or what.
Nerfing mana cost is usually Blizzard's go-to for nerfing cards. To their credit, it did slow down my Reno by a turn, but it was a fringe situation.

The nerfs were lack luster. Delaying reno by one more turn CAN have an impact, but the card itself is too ridiculous in my opinion
It changed very little for this deck, yeah.
Those were nerfes before a patch, so I didn't really expected the ones that would change the meta significantly. Maybe in 2 weeks after the expansion release
Highlander decks tend to get better as the card pool increases and there's more flexibility in the deckbuilding. The tourist mechanic will give us a huge card pool to work with, so I expect Highlander will stick.
Just so you're aware, I follow probably 8 or 9 big wigs for hearthstone and I always lean to watch yours when I see you've posted something new. Music is relaxing, videos are educational. I hope you keep going for a long time, keep up the good work

See eleven classes down to 3 classes. No healing and no Card draw.

I'm glad you like the deck! Your opponent will constantly be trying to clear your board, because they're scared of Saddle Up, so keep track of what removals they've used and what their class has. The games are often just us putting stuff on the board and seeing if the opponent can answer it, so coming up with tips for this is hard.

i guess it's 'broken' at 5k legend where the worst mu (fatigue lock) misplays and you don't see any handbuff pala? reno priest is tier 4 in 1k legend on eu at least

It is an ok deck but imo the best deck to build is easily buff Paladin. I struggled a bit f2p but then I just did like I always do and build it MY WAY not other players way. So I have no Amitus or whatever it's called yet I was doing very well around high 60 or 70%. For the longest time I did not have even the cards to make a DK deck and when I got to a decent spot being able to craft a few cards I still was not that happy with Dk. IMO I would lean on Priest next over DK as my second f2p option you just have to be creative with your deck building.
It's always good to find what's best for you. I've had seasons where a little off-meta home brewing has given me massive success.
This deck was given to me 100% free for not playing over 90 days, no Priest decks are in rotation for Returning player.
This deck is getting nerfed
The problem with all highlanders decks is sadly Reno being omnipresent and limiting design space :( That's the reason I stopped playing standard and turned to full arena mode. Every game feels different especially after some last balance changes.
